That's about one in ten people on the planet.Having to walk long distances for water keeps children from going to school and takes up time that parents could be using to earn money, and the water they carry back often contains diseases that can make everyone sick.Access to clean water gives communities more time to grow food, earn an income, and go to school -- all of which fight poverty.To put this in perspective for you, if the Mormon church could spare just 20 Billion for charity water, all 663 Million people in Poverty would have access to clean water - Giving their children time to go to school and parents time to earn income for the family, solving many of their disease problems, and breaking the cycle of poverty in so many of these countries.The church could do ALL that, and still have 80 Billion leftover in their ONE investment fund.In this video I discuss the recent news about the Mormon Church's 100 Billion dollar investment fund, and how it relates to their humanitarian/charitable efforts and where the tithing is going.
