MOTION TRACKING WITH AE | Manip Breakdown #1

vidding tips 2022-04-27 | In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you how I did a manip from my last edit, using After Effects and the motion tracking tool :)
Basically, I needed to change the name that was displayed on the phone screen.
It took me an embarrassingly long time (like...5+ hours) to figure it out how to, so I decided, why not got through all the steps again? So, if you need the same kind of manip, it'll be easier to remember how!
This is far from perfect but it does the job if you don't stare at it for too long haha This one used the simple "transform" tracking method, but there are many other tracking methods that give quite an impressive result, like the "perspective corner pin" one, and that I need to test before making a tutorial about it :)

Just unzip the folder and double-click on the .exe file to launch it.

This is an old version (4.1.4) of Freemake Video Converter that I have since 2015, because the newest ones are asking for money if you don't want to have a watermark on your converted footage lol 🤡🤡 So please, don't go to their website to install it, it won't work. You need the ad-free, watermark-free 4.1.4 version, which is pretty hard to find.

It doesn't work with h265 files, I'll show you another software to do that next month :)

❓ About the t0rrent file, I don't recommend HDTV because that's usually how you end up with episodes containing the network's logo and some ads on top of it. Thankfully, it's pretty rare nowadays to find HDTV files.
Also, h265 is a special encoding mode that's not supported by most computers/editing software, so, even if the files are usually less big, I won't advise you to download these files (unless you know how to convert them to h264)

I didn't mention it, but 90% of the files you'll get from torrents are .mkv. Tomorrow, I'll show you how to convert them to mp4 ;)
