Make sure to run in 720P!!!
The original video I put up was never the way I intended it to be. Part of the reason is I could not get higher quality CRT PICS and Video. It appeared that my lenses were too sharp for a CRT that cause moire patterns. So by using a softer lens and lowering my aperture to the point of diffraction I was able to get better shots. This is not a normal procedure in photography as diffraction causes a image to look less sharp. But diffraction is better then moire patterns. Anyways I tend to run off path when making reviews as I try to talk about more than one thing on a video. I guess that is just my style. I prefer to make one good video then 3 separate. I love to compare in videos! That is why I talk about the HDMI scaler. You don't have to agree with me nor am I trying to convince. I am offering my opinion but also backing it up. I hope you enjoy the video! I know I don't make a lot of videos, but I try when I have time. I have ADD so I tend to get a million ideas for videos constantly. However that same ADD makes me passive in executing them to video. The original NEC XM29 Plus Video was really bothering me, because it seemed incomplete and I jumped too long off track with no destination. I try to close that gap in this video. Some of the new video was actually shot when I made the original.
Also as a note: Gamerade - Best Video Quality With Old Game Consoles
@15:25 He says the HDMI would look better then a scart going straight into a RGB monitor
This is the reason for the comparison...
Also my camera settings for taking the video for the CRT is F9 , 1 60th of a second at ISO 1100. I cannot remember the focal length.

And..........Also scart is just a cable pinout! Composite, Component, RGB, S-Video, and even VGA can be done through a scart. This only needed to be a twitter response not a YouTube video! Im just drunk!

Graphics are ran in 720P on a WIIU hooked up through component. There are some MOIRE issues but it was the best I could get. My son Seth is the one who is playing. He is a huge fan of Zelda games. I was capturing this footage for my video I am working on. But I thought it would be cool to have a separate video showing Link on a high quality CRT. The Sony BVMD24E1U is a beast with 720P. I prefer it over playing it on a 1080P or 4K monitor. How to get Amiga WHDLoad to work on your MIST or MISTER FPGAphonedork2018-07-11 | A "supposed to have been short video" on how to get WHDLoad to work on Amiga through the MIST or MISTER FPGA using the MINIMIG Core. These scanlines maybe too sharp! Watch out or they will cut you deep. To me this kills the XRGB mini in every way possible! But this is no average RGB monitor. I have yet to see anything compete with this monitor in sharpness. Thanks for watching!XRGB Mini 1080P With Perfect SCANLINESphonedork2015-11-08 | Re-uploaded to see if quality will not take a hit.....
I have been wanting to test my new 1080P scanline filter for quite some time. But due to work being to hectic and not having the right hardware to record at 1080p without stuttering I could not do it. Finally I can record at 1080p 30fps or 60 fps. But since my goal is to show scanlines in 1080p I did not feel it a necessity to go 60fps. Anyways there seems to be a misconception about how LEDs cannot produce true blacks like a CRT and that is why scanlines are hard replicate on a modern set. That is not entirely true!!! And in some cases the LED produces a much stronger black then a CRT could ever. (In Some Cases) The main problem with scanline generators is that they simply draw lines over the image. I decided to take a different route and was able to produce scanlines in post processing by replicating the CRT. In other words... I did not draw lines over the image!!! These scanlines are where I chose the raster not to be drawn. This creates true black lines! Just the way you would see them on a RGB monitor like mine. I have the scanlines pixel perfect. Go ahead pause and take a look close. Take a screenshot! But make sure you do it in 1080p! Not windowed, or on a monitor that cannot handle 1080p. Make sure your smart phone can handle 1080p! If you are not viewing at true 1080p then this will not look right! The reason I am doing this is to attempt to show scanlines as perfect as possible through youtube. To show people what 240p was suppose to look like. With that said.... I believe the XRGB mini could possibly do this with a proper firmware. Cause as you can clearly see... IT IS POSSIBLE! It looks even better then 720P with scanlines! I also want to make it clear that I only like scanlines in 240p content. I hate then on 480p and higher resolutions because they never had them! I am replicating the behavior of 240p. Scanlines are very much a part of the actual look of low rez raster graphics.
On another note.... I have a bit more time now and I do plan to make a real video here soon.Classic Gaming on a Sony BVM D24E1WUphonedork2015-05-31 | My review on the Sony BVM D24E1WU...
This is a thousand line monitor that I have had for a few months and just got around to reviewing it. I hope you guys forgive me if there is anything I say thats wrong. All my research was done online and there are a lot of different opinions and theories about TVlines. I try my best to break it down into simplistic form if it can. I also talk about the following...
1. Having a 1000 line Rgb monitor 2. Are there benefits with widescreen displays 3. Discussing TVlines ( Analog Resolution VS Digital) 4. NEC XM29 Plus VS the Sony BVM A24E1WU 5. PS2 Component vs RGB on PS2 6. PS1 vs Ps2 for Ps1 Games 7. Comparing Tim Worthington's RGB chip on a Jungle Green N64 VS a normal black N64 with original Rgb mod and clean sync 8. IS this the sharpest RGB monitor out there?
I would also like to say Happy Birthday to my son Seth!! This video is recorded at 60 FPS. This video shows the issues with cheaper scalers such as motion blur. But although the XRGB -Mini is the definitive scaler.... It is way too expensive and I am finding it hard to justify the price! I also attempt to show scanlines on the XRGB. A task that I have never seen anybody else pull off! There was no way to accurately record them through any type of video recorder. So I have simulated how scanlines look on the XRGB Mini through my video editing and filter that I created. Watch in theater mode if on a computer screen to see them correctly. I normally record my normal videos at 30 FPS because its much easier to deal with then 60 FPS. But this video needed to be at 60 FPS. Also if you want to see my scanline filter better, please view in full screen 720P!Classic Gaming on the Sony PVM 2530, Sony PVM 14N6U, and the dreadful N64 RGBphonedork2014-12-31 | Classic Gaming on the Sony PVM 2530 and Sony PVM N6U. I basically show in detail how it compares and scales versus a typical HDMI scaler. A very pricey unit that has minimal LAG to almost No lag on certain LCDs. You get RGB monitor quality on a LCD but with it are some issues. Games that carry 240P and 480I modes have issues with sync. Although this device is the pinnacle of 240P on a LCD, you will be paying dear for it as it is almost the same price as purchasing a new PS4 or XBOX one! They really need to make it out of better quality material and drop the price!
Hope you guys enjoy. Sorry for not being able to make videos often. My schedule is very hectic. Like I said before... I have ADD! I think enough bad things have been said about it, I just wanted to give a second opinion to reveal some of its positive aspects with a unbiased point of view. A lot of the video was recorded almost 2 years ago. After working in Puerto Rico I never had a chance to finish it till now. Its a video I have been wanting to do for a while. I put a lot of time and effort in the review and I hope you enjoy it. I tend to review differently then most people. Maybe too much information. Even though I suggest a LCD setup with this, it may not be bad doing 480I on a CRT. I will try another time. If you are wondering how I recorded the video so good, I am a amateur photographer who knows the ropes in shooting manual. My Nikon D7000 allows me to shoot in total manual. This gives me full control of focus, rolling shutter speed, ISO, and aperture. Just watch it on a big TV like Xbox live on your TV and you will see what I mean. The video was shot tight at 70MM.Seth and Xochitl Movie Part 3.movphonedork2012-04-11 | This is part 3 to a short video series I do with my kids. The story is very random. It was filmed entirely with a Nikon D7000 using some of my favorite lenses.. Nikon 14-24MM 2.8, 17-55MM 2.8, and 70-200 2.8. The concept originally started just to get involve with my children at the same time learn how to edit. Evil dad with powers looking for his children who also have powers. Videography was my original motive before photography. But photography has taught me a lot about lighting and proper lenses for different point of views. I prefer Adobe After Effects for green screen effects because of a better key. Final cut is what I use for editing. The green screen I use with my kids was with Final Cut Pro. The others were Adobe After Effects using key light. My next video I will try using rotoscoping.Nikon 10-24MM Review.movphonedork2010-12-04 | My impressions on the Nikon 10-24mm and also getting the correct wide angle lens for a Nikon DX format. Again I am no photographer so what I say is not gold. Its my personal opinion and it could change as I keep learning. My goal was also to stress to Nikon DX users the importance of knowing the 1.5 crop factor when choosing a wide angle lens that is designated for FX or Full Frame cameras. My example was using a Nikkor 14-24mm F2.8 full frame lens on a DX camera instead of a FX camera. All images were shot with a Nikon D7000 with the Nikkor 10-24MM @ 10MM including the video demonstration showing distortion.Nikon D7000 Impression from a Average Joe.movphonedork2010-11-12 | This is no review, this is only my personal experience with finding a Nikon D7000 in Puerto Rico. The Sega Genesis Outputs 480I Max Resolution 320 X 224 Although the Sega Genesis is 240P.... Sonic 2 in Two Player Mode is 480I. It is the only 16bit game I know of that does that. So When I say MAX resolution, that is what I mean. I also would like to add that newer LCDs do not except 240P through component so HDMI may be a easier route despite video lag. The newer HDMI upscales work better now then they did back then but still have lag. The CSY 2100 is recommended for use with a CRT monitor. My old LCD monitor would except it but that does not mean yours will. The SLG 3000 and XRGB are the best setups for LCD gaming because they provide awesome scan lines. Please take a look at my videos on RGB monitor gaming as this to me is the best over any scaler or transcoder like the CSY 2100.Sega Genesis Component Video Part 2phonedork2010-01-20 | This is for the people who want to get the highest quality you can get on your flat screen TV. This is a set up anybody can do without modding your sega genesis. Basically I am showing you how to tap into your existing RGB signal in your genesis so you can convert it to RGB Component we use here. I have tested this on a CRT and it looks great as well. But it actually looks better on a flat screen believe it or not. My recording of the video quality is basically using a camera to record the video off a flat screen tv.... and it still looks great. It works on a sega gensis 1, model 2, CDX, and I have just confirmed that it works on a 32x.Albuquerque Video _mpeg4.mp4phonedork2009-12-28 | AlbuquerqueTitties N Beer Final.movphonedork2009-12-28 | Just having fun!Glenn is Drunk!phonedork2009-09-15 | ...Aint Gonna Bump A fat Womanphonedork2009-09-08 | ...A Dads Storyphonedork2009-08-13 | A video I made for my kids since I hardly see them.Sega Genesis Component Video Part 1phonedork2009-06-07 | This is for anybody who wants to mod the sega without damaging it in anyway to do a s-video mod.
