Damascus steel scalpel! Barber wet shave. SugarcreekForge 2020-10-31 | I had to re-upload this one to correct some spelling errors :-) My forge partner, Jesse Miller forged a beautiful little bar of Damascus steel twist. He then fashioned it into this beautiful scalpel. I had some Wooly Mammoth ivory scales that I have been saving, and they were perfect for this custom knife project. Jesse had Corporal Tunnel surgery and made this amazing art piece as a "thank you gift" for his surgeon.

Forging a Patch Cutting Knife SugarcreekForge 2020-08-22 | In this video, I forged a little patch cutting knife from a scrap of 1095 that I had in my scrap bin. I made a handle from some old deer bones that I found in the woods. Then I bound it with reverse twist cordage I twisted up from a scrap rope fibers. I love how this little knife turned out and they are not difficult to make :-)

We smelted steel from local iron ore with a group of old traditional blacksmiths who remembered the process from when they were little boys helping their fathers. It is made from ATS-34 stainless steel and has a beautiful piece of Cocobolo wood for the scales with vulcanized fiber for liners. Making a Bern Mini Sunfish Slipjoint Knife SugarcreekForge 2015-10-03 | I made this little Sunfish pattern slipjoint this weekend. I engraved the logo for my Bern line of knives into the orange G10 shield. The scales are black G10 and the blade steel is 1095.
