In Santiago, a new generation of urban Mapuche is using music to reconnect with language, history and pride. Through rap, hip-hop and traditional memory, Wechekeche ñi Trawün turns songs into bridges for young people who grew up far from their ancestral territory.
From community housing projects to the valley of Elicura, the film follows families, musicians and land defenders who keep Mapuche identity alive through culture, ceremony, sport and resistance.
Their struggle is not only political. It is about land, family, ancestry and the duty to pass memory forward before it disappears.
