The world has become highly volatile and complex and our day-to-day lives are directly or indirectly affected by the war in Ukraine, suicide bombing in Afghanistan, election in the US, population ageing in Japan, oil depletion in Bahrain, and climate crisis in Bangladesh. How can we gain a better understanding of the world we live in? Can studying International Affairs help us find solutions to the ever-evolving global issues and make a difference in the world? The session delves into these quintessential questions by discussing the truly interdisciplinary nature and scope of the International Studies discipline, the unique and industry-ready skillset it offers, and the career opportunities in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors globally.
