Have a MeshCore repeater installed on a roof, tower, or other hard-to-reach location? You don't need to take it down every time a new firmware update is released.
In this first episode of MeshCore Decoded, we'll show you how to remotely update the firmware on an nRF52-based MeshCore repeater using Bluetooth OTA (Over-the-Air) updates.
We'll use the Seeed Studio SenseCAP Solar Node P1-Pro as our example and walk through the process using the MTools BLE app.

• How nRF52 and ESP32 MeshCore devices differ
• Why Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios are normally disabled on repeaters
• Why the nRF52 OTA bootloader is critical for remote firmware updates
• How to remotely start the OTA firmware update process

• Why having the OTA bootloader installed before deployment is so important
⚠️ Important: This video covers nRF52-based MeshCore repeaters. ESP32-based repeaters use a different update process, which we'll cover in a future video.
