Benchmarking the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X at stock settings, then using tuned DDR5 RAM and Precision Boost Overdrive to extract more performance from it.
After less than glowing recommendations at launch, the general feeling has been that AMD Ryzen 9000 has been a letdown. One area it hasn't disappointed is efficiency, and while it's nice to have lower power consumption for several reasons, it also hints at the potential for extra performance gains via Precision Boost Overdrive. In this video, I tested the 9700X at stock and tuned settings to see how it compares to the great value CPUs in the 7000 series (as well as the Intel 285K, for some reason)
