Unity announced Unity 7 at Unite Seoul — and a free-to-use MCP server for coding agents like Claude and Codex is one of its core pillars. Plus: CoreCLR finally replaces Mono (near-instant Play Mode, incremental domain reloads), shader builds up to 90% faster, real-time GI with zero baking, and a zero-rebuild upgrade from Unity 6. Beta December 2026, full release early 2027.

⚠️ Unity's pricing page now lists "MCP Access" under the free Personal plan unity.com/products
