Kilograms, Earth Mass, Jupiter Mass, Solar Mass
We’re familiar with grams and kilograms as measures of mass here on Earth. But when it comes time to measure the mass of immense objects like planets, it makes more sense to compare them to the masses of other planets. That’s why astronomers have defined the units Earth Mass, Jupiter Mass, & Solar Mass.
