this was born out of relistening to the 'fall of numenor' passages focused on eregion and the war the elves vs sauron, and just couldn't resist after hearing the line above once again. i had a lot of fun creating that dynamic - especially since they went a different route in the show - and this song just fit it to a t.
the story aligns more-or-less with 'canon', where galadriel is lady of eregion and is suspicious of the new 'emissary of the valar' who shows up on their doorstep: annatar. he placates her scorn, however, something about galadriel's obsession with sauron and her spirit ends up turning a one-sided obsession into the greatest uno-reverse in middle earth history.

i realized i also never vid annatar which is a travesty, given the amount of memes i have on my phone with him. i love that blonde pyschotic barbie. this was such a fun excuse to vid him (especially since i've been trying to finish 5 different versions of a mind-palace/s3 au for the last several months, lmao).
anyways, something something galadriel's obsession flipping on its head to fuel and lead to sauron's obsession.
