Dr. Claw’s latest plan is to use Magstienium, the world’s most magnetic material, to strip away the Earth’s magnetic field and let the sun’s full force scorch the planet. It’s the perfect way to force people to buy his underground condos! He sends Talon to the Yukon to harvest the Magstienium and start MAD’s Magnetic Field Magnetizer device. Meanwhile, Gadget, Penny and Brain are also in the Yukon for a relaxing camping trip. Gadget insists they go off the grid—no technology allowed! Penny bemoans the loss of her Codex, TV, and all the other tech. Quimby interrupts their vacation with a new mission: stop Claw from burning up the Earth. While on mission, Gadget mistakes a wolf for Brain and, thinking Brain’s forgotten his training, proceeds to housetrain the wolf. The real Brain stumbles across the rest of the wolf pack, but they soon submit to him as their new leader due to his intellect. Penny chases Talon into the Magstienium mines. Talon manages to evade her and turn on the Magnetic Field Magnetizer, drawing all of the metal in the area towards them. Unfortunately for Talon, Gadget’s made of metal and he’s pulled hurtling towards the machine, picking up Brain along the way. Gadget smashes into the Magnetizer, destroying it, and Brain’s loyal wolf pack chases Talon away for good! // Sir Owen Barnstormer has rebuilt his Ultrablimp after MAD destroyed the first one, making it bigger, better, and more expensive! He’s even invented a cold fusion reactor to power it, the first of its kind, which he shows off to the Gadget gang on their tour of the blimp. Dr. Claw wants the reactor to create the world’s most powerful laser…so he can carve MADcat’s face in the moon. He sends Talon to steal the reactor, and Talon has the perfect disguise: he’s going to be a sky pirate! He and his band of pirate henchman board the blimp from their own Skyrate ship. Gadget, mistaking the invaders for actors in a play, jumps into the “performance” himself. Meanwhile, Penny finds herself in a swashbuckling swordfight with Talon over the reactor. Talon pulls out his gum gun and escorts Penny to the top of the blimp, where Gadget has been captured too. Talon makes the Gadget gang walk the plank, but they walk straight onto Talon’s Skyrate ship, taking it for themselves. Talon bolts back to the reactor and removes it…forgetting that it powers the blimp. As the blimp starts to fall out of the sky, Penny tackles Talon mid-escape, forcing him to let go of the reactor. It falls right into Gadget’s hands. The reactor super-powers Gadget’s gadgets, allowing him to use his chopper to control the blimp’s descent, returning the blimp and its passengers unscathed.
