After doing I'm Here, the requests for this one came pouring in like a sea of rings after sonic gets kicked in the balls. I was nervous going in since I had to find not only a singer that could do the range, but also another one who could do the screams. Cristina was an obvious choice for me after hearing the song for the first time and she absolutely slayed it, but for the screams I figured it had to be me so as not to bring on a ton of people for this one.

I spent a really long time in production of this cover training my voice for screaming in this style and to say it came naturally to me actually can't be further from the truth. There were countless hours of me in my car driving around sounding like something between a cat shrieking and Marge Simpson trying to get my voice just even a little bit close to what the singer of Sleeping With Sirens delivered on the original. It's always a style I've wanted to get under my belt so I gave it my all. After hours of recording what was probably 50-100 takes of me screaming my head off, I finally got something close. It's something I plan on spending more time with in the coming projects.

Other than that, we've been working on this cover since November and I'm so happy to finally release it. I really wanted to do my best with it, so I hope you enjoy how it sounde!
