In this video, Kevin walks through the unboxing and first-time setup of the first batch of Kevin’s Small Batch R2R DTF Printer. This printer was built for serious DTF users who need a compact roll-to-roll setup with practical features, fast printing, white ink circulation, and room for future improvements based on real customer feedback.
Kevin shows what comes in the box, including the printer, ink, USB cable, power cable, front panel, film roller parts, and accessories. He also explains how to install the film roller arms, load the DTF film, check the white ink tank mixer, connect the power and USB cable, and use the LCD control panel.
The video also covers important first-time setup steps, including driver installation, adjustment program setup, port selection, initial ink charge, nozzle check, and basic AcroRIP settings for getting started. Kevin also discusses why he began developing his own RIP software for this XP600-based printer and how future updates will improve print quality and usability.
