Dr Zoë Mildon shares her experience as a recipient of a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship at the University of Plymouth, where she leads the project Quake4D: Building physics-based, geologically rich models for investigating earthquake interaction and seismic hazard.
The project combines high-quality geological data with state-of-the-art computer simulations to develop innovative approaches for modelling synthetic earthquakes and quantifying seismic hazard. By creating more realistic earthquake models, the research aims to improve understanding of earthquake interactions and support more accurate seismic risk assessment.
