FLL 2022 SeasonFLL Team MC22022-07-19 | We know we have a lot of creative followers and want your thoughts! Last season we showed you how to make your own 3D printer filament. What innovation project do you think we should try this year to help you or your community to GO GREEN with sustainable energy? The FIRST Lego League 22-23 #SUPERPOWERED season is coming soon and this teaser trailer of the robot run shows you more about the theme. #sustainability The original trailer from FIRST LEGO league: youtube.com/watch?v=okR1AMFNV3Q2.0 FLL Team MC^2 Plastic Bottle to 3D FilamentFLL Team MC22022-05-16 | Watch our system shred a plastic bottle and feed it through an extruder that melts the plastic strip into 3D printer filament.Bottle to 3D Printer Filament System AssemblyFLL Team MC22022-05-15 | This is a machine that will let you recycle drinking water bottles (PETE) into 3D printer filament. This machine is based on REPRAP Arduino Mega with RAMPs 1.4 shield and 3D printer stepper motor, heater and thermocouple.
The files here provide a chassis to assemble the boards and power supply under a wood board with the heater, bottle shredder and gear box on top of the board.
We printed used PETG 3 layers for all walls and 25% infill. Supports on the plate.
We made our own bottle shredder if you can't grind the bearing that is less complicated but does need some work. Those files are included.

We were challenged this Fall 2021 season find and solve a Cargo problem. We identified a broken problem of a product’s journey when recycled plastics pass through a wasteful and costly transportation chain. We created a working prototype, The Bubba Slasher, where the average person can reuse their plastic waste and create plastic filament to print with in your home or community. With your new filament, The Bubba Slasher will help eliminate the the need for many of the recycled plastic to be shipped and instead allows it to be reused in the home or office. Coming soon are the plans and parts to allow for everyone to use in their home.
