Artemis 2: Future Fatality? Hoax? Or NASAs next unfulfilled hype train? Jarrah White 2023-04-04 | NASA has just announced the crew of Artemis 2: Commander Reid Wiseman; Pilot Victor Glover; and Mission Specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen. Given that NASA has hyped such return missions to the Moon since I was a child, I hold little faith that Artemis 2 will even launch. And such pessimism is only further fanned by what I can only be described as NASA's recklessly cavalier attitude to the radiation hazard. Not only has NASA announced such a mission without first analyzing the radiation readouts from Artemis 1 which encountered THREE big solar flares, the pre-TLI orbits they are proposing for the mission would keep the Artemis 2 within the hearts of the Van Allen belts for hours. This flies in the face of their own scientists who declared such intense zones as a 'forbidden region for manned orbiting vehicles" and is guaranteed to subject the astronauts to a lethal dose of radiation without 100g/cm^2 of shielding. Fortunately for the Artemis 2 crew, their mission will probably be postponed and eventually cancelled. There's already talk of delaying it to 2025. Then it'll be 2026, then it'll be 2028, and so on.

Columbia 20 years on and the near misses that should not have gone unnoticed. Jarrah White 2023-02-02 | I had wanted to prepare a more elaborate video for this year's week of the fallen astronauts, because it has now been twenty years since the Columbia disaster. Unfortunately, my main editing computer is still out of action so we'll have to settle again for statements that I've prepared on camera.Apollo 1 was preceded by oxygen fires at various US government research and military facilities. Challenger was preceded by Discovery's near fatal STS-51-C mission. And of course, Columbia was preceded by Atlantis' near fatal STS-27 mission. Both shuttle missions respectively encountered the same circumstances that would later doom the Challenger and Columbia crews, much the same way. Such near misses should have prevented these tragedies. So should have the known oxygen fires that preceded Apollo 1.Everybody in the space industry owes it to the astronauts who died to make sure that such future near misses do not go unnoticed again.

There were so many memories on video that I wanted to share, but the duration of Dolly Parton's song didn't allow for it. So I extended it using the instrumental from Whitney Houston's version as instrumental breaks, which greatly increased the number of video clips showcasing my grandmother's life that I could fit into this tribute. Saints Row 2022 BOYCOTT - Community Manager calls criticism terrorist behaviour - READ DESCRIPTION Jarrah White 2022-10-02 | I've been a fan of Saints Row since The Third in the series on PlayStation 3. I loved the game so much that I not only purchased the 2nd and 4th in the series, I also shelled out money for an Xbox 360 and purchased one of the last two brand new sealed copies of the original Saints Row left in Australia. What made this game stand out from Grand Theft Auto, Driver, True Crime and all the other open world crime video games was the freedom it afforded the player. If you so wanted to, you could play the entire game as a nude girl with gigantic breasts dwarfing her head. I thought that was hilarious. Not because I wanted to play the game as if it were porn, but because it was so funny that you could play the entire game in the nude with colossal breasts on full display and no NPCs would react unless scripted to. "Nude girl walking past? Nothin' to see here folks! Just another day in the Row!"Now I myself didn't jump on the bandwagon of irate fans when the Saints Row 2022 reboot trailer hit. So long as it had that one feature I loved the most, I'd be happy. But then came the Boss Factory demo, which allows you to design your custom character that you can then import into the game. While for the first time the reboot gave you the option to uncensor the nipples (without needing to cheat using red nipple covers you buy in-game), the maximum breast size was ridiculously small. I was livid. I wasn't going to pay money for a downgrade and it makes the slogans of "Be Your Own Boss" dubious. I know it may sound hard to believe, but big breasted girls exist in real life. I'm sure there are some well endowed gamer girls who might want to create a picture-perfect recreation of themselves to import into the game, and Deep Silver and Volition are denying such players the ability to do so by denying them larger breast sizes.Thankfully, this was fixed with mods by fans. But even if the game was fully functional, the story is plagued by cringe-inducing dialogue and annoying undeveloped characters far removed from Saints Row. And the gameplay and overall atmosphere itself has been stripped of many features of past games that should have been standard. They removed the dildo bat. They took away various side activities such as streaking and holding up stores. They removed the ability to use NPCs as human shields or even pick up a downed enemy's weapons! As if to illustrate the problems with this game, it's barely been out a month and its already discounted by 25% - successful products don't go on sale so soon after their release. If you want to learn more about the problems with this game I highly recommend Flippy's review. Elon Musk is concerned about Starships engine exhaust digging a ditch on the Moon Jarrah White 2021-10-05 | Clip taken from the latest episode of the ABC international current affairs program, Foreign Correspondent. In his interview, Elon Musk expresses concerns about the Starship's Raptor engines "digging a ditch" in the lunar surface large enough for the Starship to fall into it.I did the calculations. The raptor engine is 3.1m diameter, which gives us a radius of 62.02362inches. It produces a max of pressure of 410,000lbf, a quarter of this for landing would be 102,500lbf. Area of a circle is pi*r^2. So that gives us an exit pressure of...102,500lb/(pi*(62.02362inches)^2) = ~8.48125psiOf course, that's at the nozzle. Judging by the artist renditions of the Starship on the Moon, there's about four or five meters between the bottom of the engine bells and the landing legs. In the vacuum of space, the plume would expand considerably. I conservatively estimate it would be reduced to less than 1psi or 2psi (we'll need to wait for videos Starship's second stage ignition to get an idea of how much expansion we're dealing with). For comparison, Wernher von Braun proposed a Moonship similar in size to Starship back in the 1950s and was expecting its engines to dig an enormous crater with an exit pressure of only 0.14psi.The alternative Musk proposed involving descent engines up towards the top was previously implemented on the Surveyor landers. They had little vernier engines up on top for the landing burns and only used their main engines as breaking rockets to begin the fall to the lunar surface.

BBC - Conspiracies Outer Space Jarrah White 2021-08-07 | Under normal circumstances, I would never post something that I did not own unless I fully agree with its content. However, this video seems to have been lost to time, with its internet presence and records near completely wiped. All I could find online was a Wikipedia entry and a brief clip on the BBC's website.In 2000, the BBC put out a documentary series called "Conspiracies". As the name suggests, it delved into various conspiracy theories. Judging by the episode list, topics included New World Order, aliens, TWA-800, the Oklahoma City Bombing, and satanists. I never saw any of these episodes, but episode 11 was simply titled "Outer Space". I had seen it advertised on SBS and set the VCR to record it. The episode obviously delved into the Apollo moon landing hoax theory, even featured interviews with Bill Kaysing, Marcus Allan and David Percy. However, it also delved into space conspiracies of the kooky kind. Such as 'UFOs' seen by shuttle astronauts and ancient alien civilizations on the Moon. Confusingly, the narrator even opens the episode asking "Space, did we really ever go there?" even though clearly none of the intervees dispute that we've been in space and the narrator even cites space missions throughout the episode!Despite including intervees on both sides of the fence of these Moon hoax and alien topics, the episode is presented in such an open-ended narrative that I don't even know what conclusion the producers are attempting to draw. Are they attempting to dispute the conspiracy views discussed in this program or support them?Still, there are some interesting snippets therein that I thought raise some red flags. For example, they interviewed a former NASA employee named Ken Johnston who claims he found technicians erasing sections of Apollo negatives. Johnston reckons they were hiding evidence of aliens on the Moon. If his story is true, I suspect they were hiding evidence of a hoax. May 26 2021 Super Blood Moon with Scorpius stars Jarrah White 2021-05-26 | Got some great footage of tonight's lunar eclipse. Unfortunately, my tripod was broken so I had to improvise. Still, I think I got some great footage. I like this shot because it shows the elusive Super Blood Moon featured with four stars in the Scorpius constellation. In addition to discussing the concerns over the spent Long March 5B rocket now hurtling through orbit, they aired a clip from the SpaceX Crew 1 post flight press conference, in which Command Pilot Michael S. Hopkins spoke of seeing the stars and Milky Way galaxy and airglow from the Dragon.*As he puts it: "So I glanced out the window and, oh my gosh, it just took my breath away because right there in front of my face is The Milky Way. And you're just seeing all these amazing stars, and you can see the Earth just kind of glowing in the background, and you can the atmosphere, just this thin layer of the atmosphere kinda glowing in the background as well. And there's no light pollution or anything. You were just, it was amazing."*2021/5/24 When I originally uploaded this video, I wrote that Hopkins reported seeing the Milky Way whilst orbiting the daylight side of Earth. I have since found the full press conference video, it appears by "the Earth glowing in the background" he was referring to the airglow which can be seen during night passes, not the daylight side of Earth glowing in the sunlight. I have always held myself to that same standard. Today, I must extend that promise to an innocent third party not associated with Apollo, or even NASA.When I did my MarsFaker, some propagandists cited Joe Kittinger's 103,000ft sky jump as 'evidence' that parachutes could have functioned in Mars' atmosphere and landed the Viking and Pathfinder missions. I'm sorry to say at the time I suspected that Kittinger's jump was faked or exaggerated. Back then, I was suffering post traumatic stress disorder following a death in the family at the time. Now that I've had the time to recuperate and think about it some more, I've come to the conclusion that these propagandists were just throwing out bad examples to see if I'd bite. Demonstrating why rockets curve to get into space Jarrah White 2021-01-27 | Consider this a sneak peak at something to expect in my next video. Whilst looking for visuals to use, I found this Google Earth preset of the STS-135 mission. You can view the launch trajectory from different angles. I'm posting this recording to YouTube because it demonstrates visually why rockets seem to curve towards the horizon during launch. By definition, an orbit is a complete revolution around a celestial body. It is a constant state of falling towards the celestial body's center of mass while simultaneously moving forward just as fast. Thus, in order to get into orbit, the launch trajectory needs to curve around the Earth. As you can see, not once does the Space Shuttle Atlantis fall into the water - the final point in the trajectory is above the atmosphere. Yet, from the ground is appears to be falling back to Earth. Trump Lost: GET OVER IT! Jarrah White 2021-01-21 | Supporters of Donald Trump have become about as far removed from reality as Flat Earthers. Even after he admittedly downplay the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic and over 400,000 people died as a direct result of it, many of his supporters were still willing to blindly follow the lies he spewed unquestioningly. He gave global warming deniers, Covidiots, Q-anon, White Supremacists, the Proud Boys and all kinds of crazed lunatics a platform with his harsh rhetoric - even going so far as to parade Confederate flags at election rallies! Since 2016 Trump had peddled the lie that the election would be stolen from him. Trump has had over FIFTY court opportunities to prove his case of widespread election fraud, and not one of them stood up in court. By his own admission, he wanted to find "11,780 votes" in Glorgia. How can he honestly claim that the election was stolen, when he admittedly has no evidence of missing votes? This lie has ultimately culminated in a domestic terror attack on the Capitol building and the deaths of five people. Even after that, his supporters still propagated the nonsense that Trump would be reelected and that the election would be overturned. That he was the country's best President. It's truly astonishing how far his supporters would go to overlook the disaster and dysfunction that has plagued the last four years. I've had to put up with such crap on social media for as long as I remember. I told one of them this: "Come January 20th, I'm gonna laugh at you. I'm gonna laugh at you SO HARD".Here it is. Let the record state, I'm not a fan of Joe Biden either, but it was a real pleasure to watch the Trump delusion blow up in his supporters big dumb faces.

Last month my grandmother's best friend died. They hadn't even seen each other since last March because of the need to self-isolate. Neither of them had the virus, but the pandemic still cost them their last moments together. If you have an elderly relative living on their own during these dark times (and are virus free!), I suggest you keep them near and keep them safe. Apollo Zero - Deleted Opening - Eagle Rock by Daddy Cool Jarrah White 2020-07-21 | Shortly after I did my first two MoonFakers I was commissioned by the lads from the old moonmovie.com to adapt a new script to video, which ultimately became Apollo Zero. The opening titles that you see in the finished film was not was I had originally produced. In the first draft, the opening credits were to play out over a montage of Apollo 11 stock footage synced to the Australian classic "Eagle Rock" by Daddy Cool. Seemed appropriate, given the astronauts' choice of name for the Lunar Module. Unfortunately, we couldn't secure the copyrights to use the music so it made the cutting room floor. I regretted losing it, so I thought it'd be fitting to release it on today's anniversary. For the first time, here's Apollo Zero's opening that never was.And yes, originally I was to do the narration of Apollo Zero also.

With over 80 million PSPs sold worldwide, this no doubt alienated a large portion of potential Vita buyers. I mean, no physical backwards compatibility was initially my dealbeaker! Thankfully, thanks to the hacking community, it is now possible to backup your physical PSP games as ISO files which can then be emulated on your Vita. All you need is a PSP running custom firmware, a PC or Mac, and a PS Vita running h-encore and Adrenaline.
