ShadyRikuWelcome to a new series of shorts that I am doing on YouTube, Kingdom Hearts Deleted Content. The aim of this series will be to compile all the different elements that were planned to make it into Kingdom Hearts at one point or another, but ultimately didn't make it into the final game.
For the first episode today I want to talk about the secret 7th summon that was planned to be included in the game; a large dragon from the Final Fantasy games called "Bahamut".

In this episode I will be discussing the unused area of Destiny Islands known as Crumbling Island. This area is still in the games data and would've been used at the end of the game, when we returned to the destroyed version of Destiny Island, to act as an arena for one of the boss fights.

Now there are 12 doors at the top of the Clock Tower in Neverland, which can be opened at different points in the game. Which door is open depends on your in-game timer, specifically the hour section. Each hour of your in-game timer corresponds to one of the 12 Doors of the Clock Tower, and so in todays video I explain how to open every door, when each door becomes available, how to get to the Clock Tower if you can't and everything else you will need to know about this area. So In this series I aim to compile every Missable in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix so that you don't miss out on anything during your playthrough and even if you did, you can watch this series to catch up!
Today we are in Traverse Town to discuss a piece missable dialogue between Leon and the party about the Dalmatians.
You see right after you defeat Guard Armor in Traverse Town and join Donald & Goofy, Traverse Town will be free of Heartless until you leave the world. Before you leave the world, make sure you go talk to Leon who is leaning against the wall in the 2nd District outside the Dalmatian's House.
Talking to him initiates a conversation where he asks Sora to help find all 99 Dalmatians, giving a nice little introduction to this side quest which you would never be able to view if you left Traverse Town too early.

Today I wanted to discuss the in-game timer which tracks how long we have been playing Kingdom Hearts for. You see when you pause the game, at the bottom of the pause menu is our play time beside the word "TIMER".
This timer can go all the way up to 99hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds before it resets at 0 but with a different colour.
It goes Blue to Green, Green to Purple and Purple to Coral. Once it reaches the maximum time during this 4th set, it will freeze permanently.
Cool right!

Now if you remember back to when we initially arrived in Hollow Bastion, Donald & Goofy abandoned us to go with Riku. Soon after we meet them again in the Grand Hall were Riku proceeds to attack us during the cutscene with a purple ball of flame, known as Dark Firaga. Thankfully this is blocked by Goofy but right afterwards we fight Riku, however he never uses this attack in battle... strange right!
Well I actually discovered that later on in the story when we fight Riku-Ansem, if we cast Fire magic on him, he will retaliate with his own Dark Firaga attack, just like the one seen in the cutscene I talked about above. Casting Fire on him is the only way to see this attack and Riku-Ansem would never use this attack otherwise and so the only way you ever would have seen this in battle, is if you had casted Fire on him before. I'm sure most of you, like myself, would never think to cast Fire on Riku-Ansem and so have never seen this hidden attack before.
If you know of any other secret attacks used during Boss Battles under certain circumstances, please let me know. In this series I aim to compile every Easter Egg/ Hidden Detail in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (these are various things located across the game that are easily missed or little bits of information that I find interesting). Today we are in Traverse Town to discuss a missable Elixir which is given to you by Leon depending on whether you win/lose against him whenever you fight him outside the Accessory Shop.
You see after the Guard Armor fight in Traverse Town's 3rd District; Leon, Yuffie & Aerith give you 500 Munny and wish you luck on your journey. However during this conversation Leon will also give you an Elixir if you defeated him earlier in the game, probably as a sign of respect.
You will not obtain this Elixir if you lost to Leon and so this item becomes missable depending on the outcome of the fight.
While I was recording footage for another video at the World Terminus, after entering the flame to take me to Atlantica, the colour began fading into a dull yellow. This was only during combat and once the Heartless were defeated the screen returned to normal! The menus and HP bars were not affected however so I'm not exactly sure what happened.
Does anyone know what cause this? The only thing different during this run was that I didn't seal the Keyhole to Atlantica.
In this series I aim to compile every Glitch in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. Look out for more episodes in the series & you'll probably see some weird and wonderful things you never knew about.
In todays episode I wanted to discuss what happens to the Dream Weapons (The Dream Rod, Dream Shield and Dream Sword), which are the weapons that appear at the beginning of the game (In the Awakening).
Eventually Donald obtains the Dream Rod from Merlin (he gives it to us if we speak to Merlin after fully upgrading all our spells). Goofy obtains the Dream Shield from Merlin as well (he gives it to us if we collect all 7 magic "Arts" from the White Mushrooms. We obtain an art by casting the same 3 spells on a White Mushroom. For example Fire x 3 on a White Mushroom will give us a "Fire Arts").
However Sora never obtains the Dream Sword and I always wondered why... until today! The Dream Sword actually does appear, but in the form of the Ultima Weapon Keyblade, with the mighty Keyblade synthesised by the Moogles using the blade from the Dream Sword (the blade of the Ultima Weapon is the exact same as the blade from the Dream Sword, so it must've been used during the synthesis process).

Today we are looking at instances where the game tells us things using colour. For example in Monstro when we are trying to find Pinocchio, the correct path to take is indicated with green light. The entrance to each chamber can glow blue (which is the normal way these opening glow), or green (which is used to indicate which way you need to go to each the Parasite Cage/ Pinocchio). After the Parasite Cage is defeated for the first time, the opening all go back to glowing blue, almost as if the sickness from Monstro has been eradicated and everything returns to normal.
The other instance of colour coding is found at the World Terminus area at The End of the World (this is the area with the row of large platforms which lead to previously visited worlds). In the centre of each platform are large flames which transport you to specific worlds, but the colour of the flame is dependant on whether or not you have sealed that particular worlds keyhole or not. The flames are Pink when it leads to a world where you have sealed its keyhole and therefore you can bypass the platform without having to re visit the world. The flames are Blue when it leads to a world where you haven't sealed its keyhole and therefore you must enter the flame before proceeding ( I believe this can only occur with the Olympus Coliseum and/ or one of the following Halloween Town/Monstro/Atlantica).
Do you guys know of any other instances of Colour Coding?

Well it's just anything in the game that is time sensitive, in other words if you pass a certain point in the game you will no longer be able to view a certain cutscene or obtain a particular item for example.
So In this series I aim to compile every Missable in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix so that you don't miss out on anything during your playthrough and even if you did, you can watch this series to catch up!
Today we are back at the Awakening, which is the area where we experience the dream-like sequence at the beginning of the game. Now if you've ever wondered if the game ends if we get defeated here, then this will be answered in todays video.
The earliest point in the game where we encounter enemies is on the Cinderella platform. Now if these Shadow heartless bring our HP too low, the game will drop a potion on Sora, healing him and preventing the game from ending. The same thing happens when we next encounter a group of these heartless on the Sleeping Beauty panel.
Now when we reach Darkside it doesn't matter whether we win or lose, (either to Darkside itself or the shadows summoned by Darkside) the game continues either way.
And the final little detail I wanted to throw into todays video was that the stained glass platforms that we walk on to get from the Sleeping Beauty platform to the Beauty and the Beast platform (where we fight Darkside), disappear and we walk further up, preventing us from going back the way we came. They all disappear as soon as we reach the next platform.
In this series I aim to compile every Easter Egg/ Hidden Detail in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (these are various things located across the game that are easily missed or little bits of information that I find interesting). Look out for more episodes in the series & you might discover some new secrets you never knew about.

So during our second visit to Traverse Town, Cid asks us to deliver the Old Book to Merlin (this is the book that becomes the 100 Acre Woods). After delivering the Old Book to Merlin, go talk to Cid in the Old House (in Traverse Towns 3rd District), and then afterwards Cid can be found standing on the upper ledge between the alleyway and the back of the Accessory Shop. Talk to him and he will give you a Comet-Gummi. As soon as this has happened Pinocchio can be found cowering near the entrance inside the Accessory Shop.
If we walk up to Pinocchio and speak to him, a cutscene will trigger where Jiminy introduces Pinocchio to the party. Pinocchio can no longer be found here once we have been swallowed by Monstro, and therefore the cutscene is completely missable after entering Monstro.
This missable cutscene also explains how the party knows Pinocchio already once they get to Monstro.

Today I'm going to showcase probably the most well known glitch in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, which allows us to freeze the timer during the Hercules Cup Time Trial in the Olympus Coliseum.
So when we talk to Phil and select the Hercules Cup, we can choose to "set a time limit", which allows us to participate in the Time Trial version for that cup. During a Time Trial there will be a timer in the top left hand corner of the screen and if that reaches 0:00:00 before we finish all the rounds, we lose.
Now the Time Trial versions of each cup is much harder that the other versions so most of the time you will need to be at a much higher level to complete them, however when we reach the final round against Hercules during the Hercules Cup Time Trial, we can pause the game and select "restart." This will restart the round but the timer will now be frozen, allowing us to eliminate the time factor. As long as we don't lose to Hercules now, the Time Trial will be complete!!
In this series I aim to compile every Glitch in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. Look out for more episodes in the series & you'll probably see some weird and wonderful things you never knew about.
Let's have a closer look at one of the coolest and most unique Keyblades in the game, the Keyblade of Heart (this is the keyblade used by Riku-Ansem in Hollow Bastion).
Now this Keyblade was created by Ansem using the light from the hearts of the Princesses of Heart. It lacks a keychain because it is incomplete and the teeth of the Keyblade show a broken heart for the same reason. It is incomplete because the light from the 7th and final Princess of Heart, Kairi, resides inside Sora and so Ansem was unable to access it at that time, hence why he fought us.
In this video I showcase what I believe the Keyblade of Heart would've looked like had it been completed.

Today let's take a closer look at some obscure and rarely seen animations in Kingdom Hearts.
We have the shimmying animation where Sora and the party shuffle across a small ledge, seen most commonly on the ledge behind the postbox in Traverse Towns 1st district, but you can also do this in a couple of places in the Deep Jungle (The Cliff and the Waterfall).
There is also a sliding animation for the whole party which you will recognise from the Jungle Slider mini game. We can slide down the small branch in the Deep Jungle's Cliff and the railings in Hollow Bastion's Grand Hall.
However there is a one off animation which we can see during our second day on Destiny Islands. If you recall, we had to move a boulder out of the way to get one of the mushrooms for the raft. Well if we jump on the side on the boulder and hold the joystick in towards the rock Sora will engage in a continual falling motion, eventually causing the boulder to break apart in a unique animation!
If you guys know any other cool animations please let me know.

The aim of this series will be to compile all the different elements that were planned to make it into Kingdom Hearts at one point or another, but ultimately didn't make it into the final game.
A while back I made an Easter Eggs & Hidden Details episode where I showcased the Agrabah NPCs that appear just after sealing Agrabah's keyhole, each one being a re-design of another character model.
However within the games files lies a 4th NPC that was never used and in fact has it's own unique model depicting an older gentleman. This model never appeared anywhere in Kingdom Hearts.
Today let's take a closer look at the Heartless known as Invisible. These particular heartless carry a blade and written on the blade are two strange symbols.
Now in the Japanese language instead of using the traditional alphabet they can also write words using symbols and this writing system is known as kanji.
Now the writing on the blade of the Invisible Heartless has two of these symbols which read vertically as "Hard Core", possibly a reference to how these Heartless are amongst the toughest non-boss enemies in the game. Cool right!
If you guys know any other cool details about the keyblades please let me know.

Today let's have a look at some obscure references to Final Fantasy found throughout Kingdom Hearts. First of all on day 2 on Destiny Islands, if we speak to Riku he will suggest the name "Highwind" for the raft. This is actually the surname of Cid from his original game FFVIII.
Afterwards Riku asks us what we would call the raft and by default the name "Excalibur" appears which is actually the name of a recurring sword weapon in the Final Fantasy series of games.
There are other weapons which get their name from Final Fantasy as well. For example the Lion Heart keyblade is names after "Lion Heart", one of Leon's gunblades from FFVIII.
Save the Queen and Ultima Weapon also get their name from recurring weapons in the Final Fantasy series.

In this series I aim to compile all the collectibles which are not very well known, very hard to obtain or well hidden.
Today we are back in Atlantica to open up the large clam in Ursula's Lair (the area where you fought Ursula for the first time).
So first we need to go over to the spiky purple sea urchin floating beside the clam and cast fire magic on it. After a few seconds it will explode, causing the large clam to open up and the chest that was previously stuck inside will fall to the seabed.
Open up the little green chest to obtain a Mythril.
Thanks for watching.

The aim of this series will be to compile all the different elements that were planned to make it into Kingdom Hearts at one point or another, but ultimately didn't make it into the final game.
In todays episode I want to talk about the glass panels found at the beginning of the game, in the area known as Dive to the Heart. Now there are four that depict Disney Princesses; Snow White, Belle, Aurora and Cinderella, There is a fifth pink panel depicting three princess silhouettes to represent the three other princesses that we meet throughout the game; Kairi, Jasmine and Alice.
However originally this pink panel was going to be dedicated to Alice!
Let's have a closer look at two of the coolest keyblades in the game; the Oathkeeper & Oblivion keyblades.
Now in the Japanese language instead of using the traditional alphabet they can also write words using symbols and this writing system is known as kanji.
Now the teeth of the keyblade for the Oathkeeper is based on the kanji for the word "Light", and for the Oblivion keyblade it's based on the word for "Darkness". Cool right!

Today lets have a look at the poster at the back wall of Geppetto's House in Traverse Town's 1st District (Geppetto will set up a house in Traverse Town once we have cleared Monstro).
This may look like a poster of a generic train, however if you look closely it shares similar attributes to the Big Thunder Mountain ride from the Disney theme parks. It may seem like a stretch but considering we've seen there's a poster of the River Boat ride in the Item Shop (which we had a look at in a previous episode of EE&HD), there's a good chance this is a reference to that ride.
What do you guys think?

Today I wanted to compile all the little Easter Eggs and Hidden Details that have to do with the Dalmatians, who are all housed in the Dalmatian's House in Traverse Towns 2nd District.
Before returning any puppies, Pongo and Perdita will look very sad but will perk up once any of their puppies have been returned to them.
All male dogs, including Pongo, have a red collar.
All female dogs, including Perdita, have a blue collar.
This helps us to identify certain dalmatians which you may recognise from Disney's "101 Dalmatians".
Dalmatian #5- Patch (Dog with black eye beside Pongo & Perdita) Dalmatian #6- Rolly (Chubby, sleepy dog beside Pongo & Perdita) Dalmatian #12- Lucky (In front of the TV in the Dalmatian's Den)
There are many different poses and animations that each dog can take on and each set of dalmatians that you find throughout the game correspond to a particular dog. There is even a dog in the Dining Room that will follow Sora.
