MVA Front Dash Cam Jan. 28, 2024 ‘Doc’ Wyatt 2025-07-08 | Video from the front dash cam of MVA that occurred on January 28th, 2024. It was on our 8 x 12 trailer and secured with a 4” ratchet strap. All lights were also functional. As we were coming around a curve near our turn to our road, there was a minor accident just before Ike White Rd on the shoulder of the opposite side with a Montgomery County Deputy on scene with emergency lights activated. He was taking information from those involved. Seeing this, I started slowing down and activated my turn signal in advance as I knew this would be a dangerous situation. I had noted the vehicle that struck us was still a significant distance behind us but moving at or above posted speed limit. We began slowing and actually had to stop to make our left turn due to oncoming traffic. Just before I came to a I glanced into my side mirror and saw the other vehicle still approaching at significant speed. They impacted us less than a second later. The vehicle went up onto our trailer through the drop gate, displacing the round bale forward. The impact totaled all vehicles and trailer. Deputy working the other accident came immediately to check everyone and told me he and the other parties witnessed my turn signal activated. The driver that struck us stated “I didn’t see them”.

Near Miss 11072023 ‘Doc’ Wyatt 2023-11-08 | My wife and I were heading to HEB to grab something for dinner. The idiots werem out in force and one of them almost took me out. Female driver made a sudden left turn from the line of traffic waiting for the light. Luckily I was using SEE due to all the heavy traffic. She turned well within my '4 second Urgent Time Zone". Good thing I was able to slow and avoid.The squeal was my wife braking hard as well on her Tri Glide right behind me.#kenwoodUSA

Ride like you are INVISIBLE!!! ‘Doc’ Wyatt 2018-08-23 | On May 6th, 2018 my life changed forever. I was headed home after teaching a Basic Rider Course when a driver pulled out in front of me while I was traveling at 60 MPH. He never looked to check traffic before he did. At my speed (60 MPH) it would have taken 360 feet (on average) to stop. I had enough time to precieve the danger and start to react, but no time to actually stop. The driver was too far within my '4 second Urgent Time' zone (200 feet). This video shows no matter how alert we are, people are still unpredictable! Please use 360 awareness and SEE (Search, Evaluate, Execute) every time you are out there.The camera system used was the Innovv K1 (www.INNOVV.com)
SEE 12 seconds ‘Doc’ Wyatt 2017-11-23 | Riding home from work. Constantly using SEE - Search, Evaluate, and Execute with my 2-4-12 second distances (2 second following, 4 second urgent time, and 12 second "what if" big picture).A truck pulled into the left turning lane, which was an immediate "what if", then the car pulled out from the right and across 2 lanes of traffic RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK and blocking the left traffic lane.Luckily I was already expecting this because I was "what if-ing" the situation and was able to slow to avoid.

Dangerous passing by SUV ‘Doc’ Wyatt 2017-03-20 | Our friend was having issues with her bike running rough. We were escorting her home. I am riding lead and her husband riding sweep. Both of us have our hazard lights flashing. We had just turned onto a 3 lane road that filters down to 1 lane. We are in the right most lane. You can see the SUV come up beside us and not complete the pass just as the lanes reduced to 1. We had to ride the narrow shoulder to allow her to pass on by. Part of the issue is the driver was on a cell phone and not paying attention and I was also waving her by to finish passing. Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 12
Dead on Red Loop 336 and FM1314 ‘Doc’ Wyatt 2017-03-20 | This was taken on March 18, 2017 in Conroe, TX at N Loop 336 E and FM 1314. I waited for 4 minutes waiting for the left turn signal to turn green. This is just a example of why Texas needs a motorcycle 'Dead Red' law.

He didn't see the slow moving truck pulling a trailer until the last second and swerved into my lane. Luckily, I saw him approaching and was ready for his action. Bad Passing ‘Doc’ Wyatt 2015-10-15 | I was heading home from work on the southwest side of Houston on 14 Oct 2015. I was on the US Hwy 59 feeder heading north from Westlayan towards Downtown. As I am checking traffic to my left, I glimpse something coming up behind me FAST! I couldn't merge left as there was a car just our of view of the camera AND I was next to the SOLID white line. HOWEVER the asshole behind me decided he needed to blow past me and passed on the right! Good thing I was in the left position....Best I can make out the license plate: Texas DZR 5872.

Switchback lights on a Tour-Pak ‘Doc’ Wyatt 2015-07-02 | I installed (2) switchback drivers on a my 2005 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic Tour-Pack. Under the side lens are 3 red LED strips. 1 strip is 12 LEDs used a the "marker" lights and 2 strips are 15 LEDs (30 total) set up as 'flashers'. When activated, the marker strip turns off and the flashers flash. I'm hoping to give myself a bit more visibility on the sides for all the cagers on the road out there.
