Dont Stop MotionSo, I waited for a day when the air and water were roughly the same temp, the sun was out, and it wasn't so windy. Why? To minimise the effect of refraction. I filmed the wheel to demonstrate this lack of distortion. Here you can clearly see what appears to be the riders dipping below the water, when in fact, the Wheel is high above the water on a pier. The dimensions of the wheel stay consistent from top to bottom. Ripples in the water were no more than 4-8 inches.. Thanks for watching.

If there is an object, such as a mountain in between, that object will sometimes cast a shadow above itself. The angle of direct sunlight is only possible on a globe, and would never happen if the earth was flat and the sun is always 3000 miles or however high above the surface of the earth. The sun would literally have to drop below cloud level for this to happen. If that were the case, since Mount Rainier is only 14,410 feet high, people in neighboring states would witness the sun nearly touching the ground... Most of these videos are taken with a fisheye, or wide angle lens, which cause barrel distortion. Sure, these lenses can make a straight line appear curved, but they can also make a curved line look flat. The key is to find the point where the horizon crosses the center frame. In every "flat earth proof" video of high altitude footage, they take full advantage of this effect by Cherry picking scenes where the horizon is below center, and cutting out the scenes where it crosses center. Or claim its not a fisheye or wide angle lens when it really is...
The footage shown here is from the "Little Piggy High altitude balloon launch - Part 12" youtu.be/gO_dExpSiW8 I've been shown part 11 as so-called "proof" of FE, which is convenient for them, but part 12 kinda pops their bubble... Fisheye exposed!P900 Observations - Same Ship, Different ElevationsDont Stop Motion2018-06-14 | "Zoom in to see the whole ship again" This is a common Flat Earth excuse, and it is patently false. No amount of zoom will ever bring something into full view that is beyond the horizon. The sun for example, cannot be brought back into view just 5 seconds after it sets. Here, I spot a distant ship, zoom in to MAX only to see the bottom part of it obscured. The horizon line is clearly in front of the ship. Then I move to a higher elevation and repeat. The horizon line is then beyond the ship. Distance to the ship is unknown.WTF Did I capture passing the Moon? @1:18Dont Stop Motion2018-04-25 | So, I was filming the Half moon on Sunday, and caught something weird passing in front of it. Caught another Ferry Boat approaching Seattle, and decided to follow it. You'll notice the lowest set of windows disappearing first, then the next set, and by the time the ferry reaches the "hidden" Dock, the entire car deck is below the horizon.
Another thing you'll notice, if you compare to my video "11 miles over water" Is a total lack of atmospheric distortion. Nothing is distorted near the horizon. Thanks to the Air and water temps being almost exactly the same. It was raining all morning, then as soon as the sun broke I packed up and headed to Bainbridge Island.
No music on this one.. And the raw video was over 20 minutes long. I cut to the part where I caught the Ferry, sped up the video 4x and just posted it as is.. Nothing fancy, just wanted to upload today's observation so I can start something new.
I'm also open to any suggestions...

Amundsen Scott South Pole station. Located at 90 degrees South is the only place on land where the sun is up for 6 continuous months, and down for 6 continuous months. This video demonstrates how the sun appears at the South Pole. This clip shows a time lapse of nearly 8 days of continuous daylight, 360 degree shadows, and the sun going across counterclockwise. This movement of the sun is opposite than it is in the North. There are no permanent structures at the North Pole on the sea ice anyway. In view is the progressive construction of section A-4 at the station. Proving its not reversed video. Section A-4 was Built during the '04-'05 Antarctic Summer.
Flat Earthers claim all 24 hour sun videos from Antarctica are Fake, use special effects, or are just reversed Arctic video. Basically, 24 hour daylight at the South Pole is a lie...because.....REASONS. They claim nobody can go to Antarctica because of the "Antarctic Treaty" That none of them ever bothered to read.
I say put your money where your mouth is and go there yourself. Nobody is going to try to stop you. Your wallet might though.

Looking across the Puget Sound towards downtown Seattle. The distance is right around 11 miles from Manchester Beach to the Downtown Seattle waterfront. NOT visible are the piers, the docks, the boardwalks, or the road/cars that drive along the waterfront. (You can see the viaduct though, which is WAY higher) I'm not sure of the distance of the first ferry boat, but you can see the car deck is level with the horizon. The wheels of a car while on the boat are over 10 feet above the water, yet appear as if there would be no drop if a car were to drive off it. Then a much larger ferry passes in the background, this is the M/V Wenatchee. Specs can be found online. You'll notice considerably more of this ferry is not visible, in fact, the ENTIRE car deck is hidden by the horizon. Easily over 25 feet of "missing" Boat........ As we would REPEATEDLY expect to see with the globe model.... Using the curvature calculator here: metabunk.org/curve To the Seattle Waterfront we should see: Ignoring refraction result: Hidden= 54.78 Feet (657.38 Inches) When standard refraction is calculated: Refracted Hidden= 45.36 Feet (544.34 Inches)
Observations appear to closely match the calculations. Lots of turbulence, so its hard to determine EXACTLY how much is hidden. I will need to gather more data from the Waterfront for next time, and try again when it's not so windy. BTW, video is sped up 4x
If you would like to see more tests like this anywhere near my location (Puget sound) pick two locations on MAPS, (observing point, and point to be observed) and I will test it with my telescope and post results.

The Sun, The Clouds, and Things in BetweenDont Stop Motion2017-10-09 | Here is a compilation of photos showing how the sun, when below the horizon, can directly illuminate the underside of the clouds, and even cast shadows of Mount Rainier onto the clouds that are higher than the mountain itself. This is 100% impossible according to the Flat Earth model. Yet is very easily explained with globe geometry. All photos were taken before sunrise and after local sun set time. The higher you go, the further you can see as demonstrated...if your eyes were at cloud level, sunset time comes later than it does on the ground. This disproves the common FE "vanishing point" argument, and cannot be explained as "perspective" either. This is simply the sun dipping below the horizon...over the curve of the earth. Battery died early on as I forgot to plug the charging cable into the cell phone, that's what the break in the video is. Also didn't quite have the angle right. I'm happy with it though, I didn't do any calculations and had no idea what angle to tilt the contraption.
