The Fin E is the second FinX finned boat engine, currently under development. With a power of 150HP (120kW), it is based on the same undulating membrane technology as the Fin S (first FinX product). Composed of two planar membranes, it will benefit from the same disruptive advantages as the Fin S, with the addition of hydrogen, an innovative and emerging energy solution on the market. The Fin E will be dedicated to river and tourist shuttles, shipyards, workboats, boat rental companies, etc.FinX is one of the winners of the "Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024" Call for Innovations (Ministry of Ecological Transition, 2021). The first Fin S draft of our finned electric outboat motor! [former version] FinX 2021-02-05 | The sailfish reaches 110 km/h. Nature is fascinating, optimized, simple and beautiful. Born from an obvious fact - marine animals do not need a propeller to move - FinX decides to take inspiration from nature.FinX, whose godfather is the renowned navigator Loïck Peyron, creates fin boat engines without a propeller, for a 100% electric nautical mobility, gentle with the environment, without any risk of injury to humans or marine animals.The Fin S is the first FinX product. 2 kW fin boat motor (equivalent to 4 hp thermal), it is 100% electric and dedicated to small boats and sailboats up to 3 tons. FinX will soon offer an alternative to the propeller in all power ranges, from drones to container ships, including yachts and will have no size limit: a 20cm or 2m membrane will follow the same principle of ondulation.This design challenge will be achieved in stages. At first, the FinX team was dedicated to products for small powers. Today, FinX is working on a 150 HP model for the Olympics and Paralympics Games which will take place in Paris in July 2024.

Pour répondre à cette problématique, FinX développe une technologie biomimétique et innovante de propulsion nautique électrique et brevetée qui remplace l’hélice par une membrane ondulante, inspirée des poissons. Cette formidable technologie brevetée, issue de l’industrie et du médical, à la particularité de ne pas "mixer" le fluide comme le fait une hélice, mais de le propulser en ligne droite. Ainsi, elle permet jusqu’à 30% d’économie d’énergie par rapport à une hélice à même vitesse. Cette innovation offre également d’autres avantages clés dans le nautisme : • Un entretien réduit étant donné que le moteur est composé de seulement quelques pièces et ne possède pas de vilebrequin, d’axe ou de réducteur,• Un faible tirant d’eau,• Une très grande réactivité au démarrage "comme un poisson dans l’eau",• La membrane ne s’emmêle pas dans les cordages, les plastiques ou les algues,• Une sécurité maximale pour les utilisateurs et l’environnement grâce à l’absence d’hélice.Nous avons actuellement deux modèles qui se distinguent principalement au niveau de la puissance :- Le premier : D70, plus petit, est adapté pour les drones et les autres engins nautiques. - Le deuxième : D200, avec une puissance de 2kW, est capable de propulser une embarcation de 3 à 4 personnes (équivalent à 5 CV).
