Tiny Red Dot
This video is dedicated to my fellow SCS Charlie Company specialist cadet trainees (11/12 Foundation Term). Without the effort, enthusiasm, cooperation, and spontaneous reactions of you guys, we would never be able to defeat the 3 times defending champion Bravo Company to win the National Education Competition of Specialist Cadet School! This is a modified version of the original that doesn't include any restricted SAF material. Thank you guys for all your dedication to the project, and once again this video is dedicated to you!

To us Singaporeans, this Tiny Red Dot is like how a mother appears to be in the eye of her child. At different stages of our life, we might develop very different attitudes towards her.
When we are little, we are pure and happy. We rarely leave her side and she brings happiness to us every day. We feel safe and loved in her embrace.
When we grow older, however, we began to see flaws in her. Many of these "flaws" are actually the result of her trying to make us a better person. But at that point of time, we only see them as her imperfection. We complain about her "flaws", sometimes saying things about her that could break her heart.
But when we grow even older, as we mature with time and see how the wider world is like, we began to realize how fortunate we actually are.
Dear Motherland, I might have taken many of your blessings on me for granted in the past, but now as we draw ever closer to your 50th birthday, I just want to let the world know how much I appreciate everything you have given me.
HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!
Mr Lee has inspired me in many ways. However, the aspect of him which empowered me the most is his fighting spirit. His life had been plagued with many daunting challenges - keeping Singapore alive after separation; fighting against the communists; maintaining Singapore's sovereignty; harmonizing the chaotic racial conflicts; building up the economy of a nation that has no natural resources. He agonized and even wept over these, but he never gave up or find an easy way out no matter how dire the situation was, because he had that "iron" in him.
For almost his whole life, he had been fighting for a better Singapore. He may have left us physically, but his unwavering fighting spirit will continue to live on inside me and many other Singaporeans as well I'm sure. This is a song dedicated to a true warrior and his never-quit attitude.
This short film is originally for my school project (ADM NTU), in which every student would be given a random location and a random item by drawing lots. The student must then make a short film that involves that location and that item. The object I drew was torchlight, and the location was toilet -.-
This video is dedicated to my 2nd batch of awesome recruits.
As a Tekong sergeant, taking care of the discipline, welfare, knowledge, skills, fitness and personal issues of sixty odd recruits in a platoon is both mentally and physically demanding. There were times when I just wished that the recruits could POP earlier. But with every passing batch, whenever the thundering "one check one" echoes across the Floating Platform, and whenever I see them so jubilantly cry out "POP LOH" while thousands of jockey caps soar into the morning sky...I couldn't help but feel a powerful emotion cantering through my whole body.
This emotion is complicated. It is the feeling of happiness because I finally got to see them conquer all of the challenges that we had set for them. It is also the sense of pride because I knew that I have played a part in making them grow into a better man for our homeland, his loved ones and himself. At the same time, it is the feeling of reluctance because I suddenly realized how difficult it was to say goodbye.
To me, being a good Tekong sergent is NOT about how well you can teach the recruits, be it instilling discipline or imparting knowledge and skills. Instead, It is about how well you can learn from the recruits...it is about how much you are willing to constantly look for imperfections in your leadership by reflecting upon the reactions and performances of those whom you are leading. Through my recruits, I have learnt empathy, composure, efficiency, confidence and many skills which I never knew I will ever have.
To my 04/12 batch of POP-ed recruits from BMTC Ulysses company, I am NOT going to wish you "a smooth sailing journey in your new NS life ahead" because a smooth ride is boring and you can gain nothing out of it. I wish that you will find a rocky road with many junctions that can push you to new mental and physical limits. NS is a waste of time...yes it is...but it is only a waste of time because people choose to believe and act that way. I am not here to promote National Service. I am here to let you know that opportunies for you to learn and grow are everywhere, even in what some might deem as a waste of time, or from people whom you least expect to learn anything useful.
We are Ulysses, AH WOO!

Original Tik Tok music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP6XpLQM2Cs&ob=av3e
Lyrics:
Wake up in the middle of the pitch black night,
Like an owl I scan the house to make sure no one's in sight
With my ear to the door I hear my daddy snore,
At last here comes the hour that I have been craving for.
Stealthily creep to the com on toes, toes,
Mute the sound on Windows,
Set screen brightness to low.
Doub-doub-doub-double click on Warcraft 3,
Fingers all at ready,
Gonna be on my killing spree.
Dota, Garena,
Pwn the noobs till they pull plug.
Maplestory SEA
Grind till I become zombie.
CS, so badass
But I suck at FPS, damn.
Oh woah-oh woah-oh
Farmville, grow like snail,
Wait till I rather go jail.
Street Fighter, bloody cool,
Play till don't wanna go school.
Gta, Piratebay,
Oh I forgot cannot say, oops.
Oh woah-oh woah-oh
Ain't got a care for the world, but my gaming PC.
Ain't got attention for my teachers, coz I have got to sleep.
And when the bell rings aloud, it's like Christmas to me,
And I am out of there before my teacher can say "class dismissed".
I teleport myself home, home,
In the virtual world I roam, roam,
I don't care when my stomach groans, groans.
Alt-alt-alt alternate tab's my best mate,
Keep the two hawks at bay,
I'm gonna do this all day,
All, all, all, all, day
Won't stop, till I flop,
Tired out on my desktop.
Tonight, I'mma play,
Till I see the light of day.
Tik tok, on the clock,
But I won't let the fun will stop, no.
Oh woah-oh woah-oh
So what if I fail?
Just a small test no big deal.
Oh jeez, give me peace,
There's ample time to study.
All work and no play,
Will turn Jack into a gay, right?
Oh woah-oh woah-oh
In the blink of an eye,
Six years went by,
Results slip held in my hands tight
I let them down,
I broke their hearts,
I felt them weep from the inside.
I threw away,
The chance they gave,
But they still believe that I'll change.
I'll start today,
Got a long way,
My mind is made.
Now the devil in me you better be off
Or else eat my spell,
I will blast your ass to hell.
I've got armour on,
That will tank your stupid horns.
If you come again,
I'mma fight you like a man.
Oh woah-oh woah-oh
Right now I might be,
I might be a nobody,
As black as carbon,
But I dream to be diamond.
One day I will be,
One day I'll be somebody.
Oh woah-oh woah-oh
Lock and load.

Lyrics:
Om nom nom nom
X5
I want a gulp of Cola it's a damn hot day,
Grab my Pringles, lick my Oreo, slowly munch away. (I love it)
Had a bar of Kit Kat but I'm not taking a break,
'Cause I've yet to enjoy my cup of Haagen-Dazs Sundae.
Oh-o-o-o, oh-o-o-o-o-o-o,
I won't say no, to Ferrero Rocher.
Oh-o-o-o, oh-o-o-o-o-o-o,
A pack of Lay's, keep my worries at bay.
Can't rid my, can't rid my,
No I can't get rid of my junk food craze. (it's finger licking great)
x2
Jun-jun-jun-junk food craze, jun-jun-junk food craze. (om nom nom nom)
x2
I wanna stop the pimples blooming on my face,
Get rid of the Himalayas bulging on my waist. (I hate it)
When I'm in the loo I put a nuclear bomb to shame
If junk food is gold then I will be richer than Bill Gates.
Oh-o-o-no, oh-o-o-o-o-no-no,
Every day, having stomachache.
Oh-o-o-no, oh-o-o-o-o-no-no,
Don't look this way, my teeth are decayed.
Can't rid my, can't rid my,
No I cant's get rid of my junk food craze. (it's finger licking great)
X2
Jun-jun-jun-junk food craze, jun-jun-junk food craze. (om nom nom nom)
x2
But if junk food's really that bad, I will be sad,
'Cause to me it's like how Juliet is to Romeo, we are an inseparable couple.
Without it life won't be so complete, like no popcorn at the movies,
Though some control I do need on how much of it I eat.
Can't rid my, can't rid my,
No I can't get rid of my junk food craze. (it's finger licking great)
X4
Jun-jun-jun-junk food craze, jun-jun-junk food craze. (om nom nom nom)
