Creators note: Hello everyone! Once again, I have no idea how this video will perform. This was a bit of a love/hate letter for me, so it's more personal than my usual content, but hopefully, it made for an interesting deep dive. When I think of all the memories I had at that mall, it's insane. I didn't even cover half of what I experienced there, but I wanted to keep things grounded for the video. I hope it's enjoyable! I am starting to work on my next documentary very soon, so keep tabs on me if you don't already.

Hey! It's been a while. I had the holidays, and then obviously this took a while to shoot, but I hope it's worth the wait. This is easily my most ambitious project yet. I took some creative risks and faced a few more challenges due to the nature of the subject, but hopefully, it pays off and is both entertaining and informative! As I mentioned at the end of the video, if you're watching and reading this, I am incredibly thankful for your time. I wouldn't be here without your support.
I recently hit 100,000 subscribers a few weeks ago, and if you didn't see my community post, I wrote a pretty detailed message. The short version, which I'll put here, is thank you. Thank you all for supporting me over the last 10 months. I am so privileged to be able to create this content and share it with you all. Anyways, enough of the sappy stuff. Hope you enjoyed!

=-=-=-=Why is YouTube like this?Zackary Smigel2023-11-02 | And by this, I mean overly sensationalized, insanely over-the-top, highly edited, and fake. I mean, is it just me, or does most content on this platform feel dystopian, artificial, and soulless?
The content we watch has evolved, there is no doubting it. What was once a place to post fun videos with your friends is now a platform for corporations to market their brand, for people to generate passive income, and for creators to succeed, whatever this means.
And this isn't all bad, but if I'm being honest, the worst aspects of all these things really stand out and create a nauseating experience for the average user.
But something has recently changed, and maybe you've noticed it too? Authenticity on YouTube is rising again. Now, instead of clicking on overly sensational videos, I find myself clicking on videos that are simple, more intimate, and honestly more human. But why? Is the MrBeast-ification of YouTube over? How did we get here? Why is this happening? And what the heck is "corecore"?

If you've consumed any form of sports media over the last week, chances are you've encountered some sort of sports betting advertisement. Creators note: Hello, my name is Zackary Smigel. I've been creating YouTube videos since I was a kid. I started YouTube full-time about five years ago. You might have seen me from Real Estate License Wizard, where I obtained 60,000 subscribers and over 5 million channel views. I have since left that channel for creative pursuits, and this is my first crack at starting something new. I'd appreciate a like and subscribe if this content interests you and I captured your attention for even just a few moments.
On a secondary note, this was the first video shot at my new place. I'm not a huge fan of how the lighting and audio turned out. I definitely need to play around with my setup next time. So its a work in progress! Regardless, I still hope the video is enjoyable for you. This is something I've wanted to cover for a while now!

=-=-=-=The History Of Ordering Pizza OnlineZackary Smigel2023-07-21 | Welcome to an enthralling exploration of the intersection of pizza and the internet. In this video, we delve into the captivating history of pizza's connection with the early internet, dating back to the pre-AOL days of 1994. Our story starts with an ambitious Pizza Hut owner who pioneered online food delivery through a platform named "PizzaNet," laying the foundation for today's world of online ordering.
We then explore the contested debate on the first-ever online purchase (Could it really be pizza?) and uncovers the pivotal role pizza played in the debut of Bitcoin in the commercial world. As the story unfolds, we discuss the evolution of online pizza ordering systems, marked by the entrance of Papa John's and Domino's, and the onset of the online pizza wars. No history of internet pizza would be complete without the unforgettable 'None Pizza with Left Beef' meme, which highlights the transformative role pizza played in digital culture.
We also invite you to step into the world of 'One Bite Pizza Reviews,' a cultural sensation that transformed online food criticism. This journey celebrates the unique, sometimes absurd marriage of pizza and the internet. Whether you're a pizza enthusiast, a history buff, or just someone who savors a slice of the unusual, this is a journey you won't want to miss. Enjoy the ride through the pixelated, cheesy history of Pizza & Internet. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe if you enjoyed the video!

The internet has always been a breeding ground for creativity, innovation, and drama. It's a place where new ideas are born, flourish, and then are copied. A recent example that has drawn significant attention is the sensation of what I am calling "Content Cop Clones," those who are imitating the famous YouTuber Idubbbz's series, "Content Cop."
In this video commentary, we will discuss who these clones are, how closely they mirror the original Content Cop series, their impact, and, more importantly, the broader implications of their existence. This is, without a doubt, the largest streaming contract ever signed, dwarfing the second-largest by Ninja, which was 50 million dollars.
To put this into perspective, xQc is now earning more than LeBron James, who is the highest-paid player in the NBA with a two-year contract worth 97.1 million dollars. This is truly mind-boggling. And it's not just him, popular streamer Amouranth also signed a deal reportedly for 30 million dollars.
It's 2023 and streamers are making more money than professional basketball players. We are living in a digital gold rush, an Era of Millionaire Streamers. Why is this? How did this come to be? Is Twitch dying? Is YouTube or Kick the new place to live stream? How does Kick have millions of dollars to spend on online streamers? And most importantly why is this a surmountable mess for us viewers.

=-=-=-=YouTube Music Culture Is A MessZackary Smigel2023-06-16 | Welcome to my mind-boggling exploration of the intricate web that is YouTuber Music Culture. Here's the deal, YouTube Music Culture is a confusing mess and in this video I'm going to explain every major Music YouTuber who has significantly affected YouTube Music Culture over the years. I want to create something for people like me to send friends so they can somewhat understand this massively ever changing and confusing landscape of diverse content creators.
Prepare to delve deep into the realms of Oliver Tree, Lindsey Stirling, and Marc Rebillet, JoJi, NakeyJakey, Ricegum, KSI, Logan Paul, and more each with their own unique stories, leaving a lasting impact on this platform and its fervent fandom.
I divide YouTuber Music Culture into three sections.
1. Musicians who use YouTube to promote their music. Think Taylor Swift, The Weekend, and Beyoncé. The classic music industry types. Pretty much using YouTube as today's MTV. 2. Musicians who are also YouTubers. So they're on YouTube not only to promote their music but also to create content. Think Oliver Tree, Lindsey Stirling, and Marc Rebillet. 3. YouTubers who are also Musicians. YouTubers who use (or attempted to use) their existing YouTube audience to launch a music career. Think JoJi, Tiny Meat Gang, NakeyJakey, Ricegum, KSI, Logan Paul.
We are going to primarily be talking about sections 2 and 3 today.
So let's take a look at the YouTubers who hit the high notes and those who... well, let's just say they might have been a bit tone-deaf. We're going to explore the ones who found the sweet spot in between, and we're going to ask the big questions: What does this mean for the music industry? What does this mean for YouTube? Why are so many YouTubers releasing diss tracks? And most importantly is this trend a hot mess or a new evolution of the platform?
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the world of YouTube music culture.
Here are the chapters for this video. Feel free to jump around accordingly:
0:00 Introduction 1:43 The YouTube Music Phenomenon 5:39 Lindsey Stirling: The Dancing Violinist 9:04 Oliver Tree: The Bowl-Cut Maverick 12:13 Marc Rebillet: The Loop Daddy 14:23 Logan Paul: The Maverick Rapper 16:58 RiceGum: The Reaction Provoker 19:12 KSI: From Gaming to Grime 21:53 NakeyJakey: Exercise Ball Rapper 24:20 Joji: Pink Lofi King 27:22 Tiny Meat Gang, Quadeca, Aries, Dream, Trisha Paytas 28:15 The Impact On The Music Industry 31:10 Is This Trend A Hot Mess Or A New Evolution Of The Platform?

On a secondary note, this is my fourth video using this style and format. This time around I feel pretty good with what I created. I think personally, this is my best video yet. I only had one minor issue with the greenscreen lighting flickering towards the end of the video. You can kind of notice it, next time I'll just have to trim more to the left. Strange how it didn't exist until like halfway through. Hopefully its not too noticeable. But for the most part, I feel like I've finally worked out most of my kinks. Overall, I really am proud of this one and hope you enjoy it.

=-=-=-=Why YouTube Stories FailedZackary Smigel2023-06-08 | In the information age, the rise and fall of features, platforms, and trends can be as fleeting as the blink of an eye. One such feature that has recently met its demise is YouTube Stories. Launched with much fanfare, it was touted as the next big thing in the realm of social media storytelling. However, it is now set to be discontinued on June 26, 2023.
So, what went wrong? Why did YouTube Stories, a feature with such potential, fail to make its mark? Why did other platforms like Snapchat and Instagram successfully integrate this feature and YouTube not? Let's delve into this digital tale to uncover the reasons behind its downfall.
YouTube Stories, launched in 2018, was a feature designed to allow creators to engage with their audience in a more casual and spontaneous way. Drawing inspiration from the success of similar features on platforms like Instagram and Snapchat, YouTube Stories was introduced as a way for creators to share short, brief content with their audience.
The idea was simple: allow creators to share quick updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, or teasers for upcoming content in a casual and accessible format. So why did YouTube stories fail?

Creators note: Hello, my name is Zackary Smigel. I've been creating YouTube videos since I was a kid. I started YouTube full-time about five years ago. You might have seen me from Real Estate License Wizard, where I obtained 60,000 subscribers and over 5 million channel views. I have since left that channel for creative pursuits, and this is my first crack at starting something new. I'd appreciate a like and subscribe if this content interests you and I captured your attention for even just a few moments.
On a secondary note, this is my third video using this style and format. The third time using a green screen and these editing techniques. This time around, I think my audio improved, I feel pretty good with where it is here, along with my greenscreen skills. Of course, something had to happen to add a little drama in my life, I had some issues with my camera this time around. If you notice (which I hope you don't lol) the first few minutes of footage of myself was slightly blurry. My camera was out of focus for a few minutes. I actually tried to reshoot the scene, but I really couldn't capture the same energy as I did with the footage you see in the video. So sadly, it looks a bit blurry for a small portion of the video. Hopefully its not too noticeable! Definitely going to add this to my large list of things to double check when I am shooting.
1. Mic 2. Greenscreen 3. Camera 4. ???
In all seriousness, I think this was still an improvement and I keep learning after every video. I promise you, my viewer, that I will improve my technique as I create more entertaining content.
