I'm not going through the album entirely in order though, since I wanted to keep the drawings in story order.First one of these without Seren in it, lol, this time it's about the other larger campaign plot -- this is Dina-Dreya; she followed the god of life and death but ended up getting manipulated into joining/helping to found a cult. We found out from her that this cult of Gibbet, the god of decay, was actually planning to defeat/replace Gibbet with the cult's leader. Their leader dressed as a plague doctor and had been appearing to the player characters pretending to be Gibbet, it was a whole complicated neat thing i can't really explain in a YouTube description. We were technically on the same side as the cult in the end but also not cause they went about things in an evil way. Anyway, we ended up convincing Dina-Dreya to reject the cult and help us after she was killed and resurrected. Trials || [OPEN] OC multi-animator project Aethira 2020-09-17 | ☄️EDIT: hello, i suck at doing 5-minute tasks that hang over me for months so here i am finally updating this description with some new info -- there is currently no deadline, since the map has not yet filled, which is why i didn't enforce anything around the december deadline (i've been really busy too! it's okay, maps are supposed to be fun, i don't want to make this into a stressful thing for anyone).Hello! :DDD It’s been years since I’ve hosted a multi-animator project (and i promise I haven’t forgotten Winter Sound, i’ve gotta redo my part and make sure a couple others are done, it’s just not a high priority rn), and i’ve learned a ton and have been really excited to host one -- and then i heard this new version of this song and just went for it. So here we are!After Effects did not appreciate making this map call and the render literally took two hours but it’s worth it hsjdghjfgRules:1. The discord server is mandatory once you get a part and can be found here: discord.gg/rS66aqG. Do not join to ask for a part, only join if i give you a part or backup.2. This is an OC map. Only use your own characters (or friends’ characters if they give you permission). Any species is allowed. Fan characters are allowed only if it isn’t obvious what fandom they’re for; ex: warriors OCs are okay as long as there’s no canon warriors characters or imagery that makes it clear it’s in that universe (clan symbols, a leader ceremony, etc), but pokemon OCs wouldn’t be allowed since they are recognizably pokemon. OCs for rpgs like D&D are fine; i consider stuff like that to fully be OCs not fan characters. 3. Parts must be 1920x1080.4. This is an amv map, not pmv. Parts should be mostly animated rather than tweened, which is why there’s a somewhat long deadline. Don’t add the lyrics.5. There’s no set color palette, but there is a set ‘look’ similar to the art in the map call. Parts should mostly be set at night or in dark places; shading and backgrounds are mandatory. The goal of the map is to feel atmospheric and dramatic.6. Focus should be on emotion or ‘epic’/dramatic moments for your characters. Use slower-paced stuff for the slower parts and more action for the faster ones, etc.7. Should go without saying, but please keep your parts appropriate. Blood/violence is fine as long as it’s nothing really graphic, but absolutely nothing nsfw or suggestive.8. When you’re done with your part please provide me with a sendspace link so I can download it. 9. EDIT: there is currently no deadline, until the map is filled. Once there's a deadline, i'm happy to grant extensions too, as long as you communicate with me about it. I haven't had a chance to work on my part yet either! Heat Waves - map part 19 Aethira 2020-09-17 | Edit: messed up slightly on the intro card, id copied/edited it from the previous map part i did and this was an anything map not multifandom, and i used OCs.Okay so this is entirely an AU, and actually is like three AUs in one, so i'll do my best to explain without actual canon Daernika spoilers lol.First of all it's a soulmate AU, and the way the soulmate marks work is that they're an image of something that symbolizes your soulmate. If your soulmate is injured, the mark hurts, and if your soulmate dies, the mark fades. The marks first show up when you turn 18.In this AU, Aidina and Caedis grew up in the same city and were friends when they were kids. Aidina always wanted magic, and she finally gets it right before Caedis leaves to join the Avieros. Caedis disapproves of /how/ Aidina got her magic, and they leave on bad terms. When Aidina gets her soulmate mark, she immediately knows it's Caedis's, cause it's her family's symbol. Caedis, meanwhile, has no idea her mark is Aidina's, since Aidina learned her fire magic after they were apart. Anyway, in a canon event involving partial amnesia, Aidina forgets certain things about her magic, leading her to believe that Caedis disapproved of her getting it because she didn't trust her with magic at all. Aidina ends up burning off her mark.Eventually during somewhat canon events Aidina dies, and when she's brought back every injury she's ever had is healed, including her mark coming back. When she eventually meets Caedis again, it's after she's remembered what really happened, and realizes Caedis might have been right in the first place. She also ended up getting a new source of power (vague due to spoilers, sorry), and that change also affects the soulmate mark Caedis has, making it glow, which is Unusual enough that Caedis has no idea what it means until she sees Aidina use her new powers, and then she finally puts everything together. --------------------------------------------------------------Rip, I was trying to set up a new end screen and actually use youtube's features for once, but the video thumbnails are too big to fit in what I made, so I'll have to adjust it next time.
