I finished Deep Slip Schmaniol 2025-07-23 | Its finally done :DGoing into this map, I was honestly pretty mediocre at ice (compared to my standards on other styles). I knew most of the theory, but I never really grasped most of it and just drove ice kinda "blindly". However, I got the hang of the gameplay very quickly and managed to get up to f15 in 4th place with roughly 50 hours spent before Wirtual finished :D Way better than I expected, and also way less time spent than I expected. I honestly could have probably gotten 3rd if I invested more time, but the "casual-like" approach that I took was far better for my mental. I didnt care about any placement, I just wanted to eventually finish. And that I did, being the 4th finisher of this map :DThe map itself is incredibly well built, I really enjoyed most of the grind (ofc It had some very despair moments, but thats guaranteed with a map like this). First Finisher on Fallen Angel (Hardest TM2020 Transitional FS Map) Schmaniol 2025-03-30 | Top 5 maps of all timeI started this map back in early January and put a lot of effort into learning it, spent about 10 hours in editor and 15 hours on the CP map before going for the real map. On the real map I quickly reached Section 4, but I just had this mental barrier that I couldnt overcome. Had like 10-15 attempts there but I just couldnt do it so I gave up after spending like 23-24 Hours on real map (despite Section 4 probably being the easist for me in practice funnily enough). A few days ago I returned with renewed motivation and on my first try that made it to section 4 I oneshotted it, but failed to the clip at the very beginning of Section 5. Getting this mental blockade gone was a big confidence and motivation boost, so I kept pushing and my consistency was showing it. Sooo many runs that made it to section 3 and beyond, and after 10 Section 5 attempts and a cummulative 60 Hours put into this map, I finally became the first person to beat it :DAbout the map itself, I think its an absolute work of art. Intax had to suffer through a lot of malding in discord dms, but thats just because I was frustrated xdd. If I look at it now after finishing, its just such an insanely good map. If you have the time and skill, I recommend you try finish the CP version of it, its truly a modern masterpiece imo. You unlock this mode after getting all 200 normal Trackmasters. Fun Fact: One of those pro players was riolu, and he drove over 100 of these medals, which are all cheated.Wow. I started this journey in May 2022 and I was blasting through the STMs like crazy, but I skipped basically all Valley maps. For this environment you need to play on Controller because of the offroad sections/maps, so I had to learn pad and I didnt want that. At some point I got all the STMs in the other 3 environments and I was not looking forward to Valley so I took a long break. Sometime in 2023 I returned to the STM grind and picked up Valley, it was very tough and even easy STMs took me a long time, but I fought my way through until only 2 maps were left: #60 and #175 (175 being the map in the video). 60 was supposed to be my last STM so I kept it, but 175 was my nemesis. It has everything im bad at: Valley Dirt, 3 Minute Multilap, Bad visibility, and its just a super hard map to drive in general. I grinded for about 35 hours back in late 2023 but I gave up because I just couldnt do it. I didnt have any fun and it was too hard for me. First of all, I want to thank everyone who has been following my journey. If you've been there from the start, or only joined for the finish, I truly appreciate everyone who stopped by my streams to support me. It really has made the grind easier, knowing people are cheering me on and hoping for me to succeed. I also want to thank everyone who was gifting subs and donating to me, sadly I was never fully able to express my gratitude because I had to really focus on driving the map, but I really appreciate every single donation.Now onto my journey: Starting off, I always had the goal and confidence to finish. I never thought it would take this long and be this mentally challenging though. 200 hours on a single map is by far the most I've ever spent, and the euphoria I felt when I saw I had enough speed to make the final jump is something I have never experienced before.I am really happy I managed to get top 5 and complete the map in under 200 hours, with WR and the first AT as well, and I'm also happy I managed to reach floor 16 before the practice floors released. I had hope I could somehow sneak into top 3 for a moment, but after top 3 finished and I was able to practice floor 16 I quickly realized that it was completely impossible. Floor 16 is brutal, so much harder than the rest of the map. Without practice this map would have taken me much longer for sure, maybe close to 300 hours actually.In a few days I will stream my journey through Deep Dip 1 on Twitch, if anyone is interested. [WR] Stadium C5 37.18 by Schmaniol Schmaniol 2024-02-04 | I have quite the history with this mapIt started in 2020 when I was grinding solo mode for Skill Points, back then the WR was 38.54 by Hefest and I tried to get the No Cut WR. I ended up driving a 38.58 and giving up because the ending of the map is absolutely horrific, but then in January 2021 Draggy managed to get the cut on this map and I was keen to try it myself. After a few hours of hunting I had a 38.27, which was the Official WR of the map and 2nd on TMX. I knew I could get the WR too but my goal was Official WR so I was satisfied. Trackmania Spring 2022 | My Records Schmaniol 2022-07-01 | End Result: 130.500 Points and 1 World RecordReally happy with my results since I only hunted in week 2 and the last week (except 02)Since Week 2 of the Campaign my goal was to get Top 5. I knew I had 40.000 Points pretty much safe because my World Record on 13 is very hard to beat. I hunted Week 2 a lot and had 150.000 Points + 3rd Place at one point. I however lost motivation quite quickly and stopped playing the Campaign entirely. That is, until about 10 days ago. There was a new bugslide strat on 03 so I tested it out and quickly drove a Top 4 time with it. Despite me not hunting the Campaign for over 2 months I was still at 100.000 Points, and the current 5th Place was at 110.000 Points. I knew I could do a last week push and go for the Top 5 and I felt motivated and pumped out a lot of good times in the last week. [WR] B07-Race 27.50 by Schmaniol Schmaniol 2021-12-24 | Merry Christmas!I finally got this one, which makes me part of the 2+ TMNF WRs gang FeelsGoodMan. I had a bunch of runs that were faster than this one until the end but all of them failed the last gs, so the potential here is still big for me especially because my start wasnt the greatest eventho I regularly drive within .01 to Hefest. I struggle a LOT with the very last gs, my pb from a while back (27.58) was like .05 or more in front of hef before the last gs but I failed the timing so I lost a ton of speed.
