Mortal Kombat 2 Hidden Characters Hack Jade Play through Trenternet 2022-12-31 | Mortal Kombat 2 SNES as Jade Mottzilla created this hack all the way back in 2017 which allows you to use Jade, Smoke and Noob Saibot with no issues. Jade even has her projectile invulnerability! This is one of the first hacks to do this , before Abystus released his legendary cheat for MAME that made these guys playable in the arcade. This hack aims for simplicity rather than fancy bells and whistles. The 3 secret characters don't have endings, but they do use Kung Lao's ending to prevent crashes. Since Jade/Smoke/Noob didn't have any kind of official ending to go off of we'll give Mott a pass on that.

Trenternet 2022-12-30 | Mortal Kombat 1 Champion Edition 2.0 as Shang TsungSnark-4918 is back with an update to his MK1 Champion edition hack I previously played during a live stream. The main purpose of this hack is to make Reptile and the two bosses into playable characters. The previous version did that, but this version fixes some bugs and add some new features. Shang Tsung is a mixed bag. Snark did a fantastic job of making him play as close to the computer as possible, but without the computer's fast input speed you'll find yourself being bull dogged by the computer almost as soon as the match starts. This Shang Tsung also cannot throw a rapid fire ball like the arcade counterpart so his base form has very little use in this, although I did manage to get some mileage out of it in the Goro fight. I left in continues in this video because I wanted to show off the odd effects, and challenges of using MK1 Shang Tsung. All in all a great effort by Snark, unfortunately MK1 Shang is just by nature a difficult to control beast.

Goro still cannot walk backwards in this version which I was critical of last time I played, but to be fair if you look at the AI Goro it never walks backwards either! I'm not sure that Goro in MK Trilogy will ever walk backwards , but you can do this when the player controls him. In the read-me Snark says that Goro being this way is intentional. I have a sneaking suspicion that may have to do with the lack of a walking back animation though. Either way it would be nice to see Goro be able to walk back as it makes playing as him a bit awkward from time to time.
