The August meeting of the VFS Commercial Air Transport (CAT) working group featured a discussion on new FAA regulatory updates and capabilities that they unlock. Last month the FAA announced finalization of the MOSAIC regulations to overhaul light sport aircraft rules, and also published a new advisory circular to provide guidance for certification of powered-lift aircraft, which represents the first new category of aircraft since helicopters in the 1940s.
