Then, there's Schmoyoho's hilarious and masterful remix, something so gloriously infectious, I had to give it my own Orchestral/Future Bass spin because....why not, Lisa? I've found much to relate to and appreciate between these two characters. The music comes along in waves of intensity. The opening theme, with its bouncy, nervousness represents our lovable nerd, Alphys. The quirk is cast away by pure muscle and sparkly visuals as Undyne flexes in her combative splendor. Things settle down as a tender moment is shared between characters who, despite their differences and WILD eccentricities, indeed find pleasure in propinquity. About a month ago, as Vylet was building up hype for his incredible new album, he approached me with the paternal responsibility of providing a remix for it. I happily obliged and selected the popular "Little Dreams" as my template.But as for my approach, I really sought to tap into the sounds, textures and orchestrations of past works. Namely, the Tavi and Scratch series. I think this is a voice which still comes naturally to me and which gives me great cathartic joy to produce. When reflecting on the themes of the original track, images of Asriel from Undertale kept flashing in my mind. While honoring the original narrative of the song, I couldn't help but find it intertwined with my headcanon for this beloved character and so, interwoven in this remix is an ode to joy, an ode to the bittersweet and an ode to the hopes and dreams we carry with us, be they big or small.I'm very proud of this one. Trust me, though, it'll be worth it, ho ho.So what is this, then? Well, I've been watching Steven Universe for a good bit lately and was always tickled by this tune featuring the character Garnet. It's so very, very "Just the Two of Us" but dammit, it has undeniable charm. As usual, you'll find a mixture of styles under the hood. Stems for her vocals don't exist and I didn't just want to paint by the numbers, so I didn't utilize the entire song, hence a "mini" remix. Frankly, I'm not super duper happy with the mixdown as it turned out, but I had a lot of fun with this, so take it all with a pinch of salt and enjoy the (short) ride.More jams to come as the summer winds down.

I absolutely loved the vocals on this track "Makin' Good Time" but was unable to find an a cappella, so this shall be my first venture into Bootleg remixing; that meaning that the segments with the vocals were sourced directly from the original mix itself, not an official or extracted a cappella. It made for an interesting experience and some compromises had to be made in the mix, but I am still hoping you enjoy my take on "Makin' Good Time" by City 17. That is the name of my new Moog Sub Phatty, a 100% analog synthesizer I acquired over the Christmas holiday and I have been positively itching to put through her paces. Working with analog gear is something new to my workflow and so it was quite a process learning how it was done. However, it is my hope that the effect is somewhat more organic than my previous work.
