Anomalies Spotted in Porvoo on Mars Jean Ward 2023-04-08 | The photograph analyzed here (PSP_006743_1365) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 03 January 2008 and is described as 'Valley System North of Argyre Planitia.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a new site near Porvoo in Northern Argyre Planitia. 3D RENDER Possible Derelict Machinery Spotted in Charitum Montes on Mars Jean Ward 2023-04-03 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_013244_1275) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 24 May 2009 and is described as 'Lobate Features in the Charitum Montes.'Here I feature a 3D render I created of, what I speculate, might be derelict machinery at a site I previously featured in Charitum Montes in a region of Mars called Argyre Planitia. To me this anomaly looks like a huge circular-saw (could it be similar to those researchers speculate cut some of the megalithic blocks in Cairo, Egypt). For reference the two parallel lines measure approximately 10 metres in length.Most of the 'structures' in this region of Mars are highly eroded. 3D RENDER Unusual Artifacts Spotted on Charitum Montes on Mars Jean Ward 2023-03-25 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_011398_1275) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 31 December 2008 and is described as 'Streamlined Hills in Western Charitum Montes.'Here I feature a 3D render I created of, what I speculate, might be ancient megalithic structures and perhaps a pyramidal structure at a site I previously featured in Charitum Montes in a region of Mars called Argyre Planitia. For reference the square base with the pyramid on top measures approximately 10 by 10 metres in size. For reference the three by three cube anomaly measures approximately 16 by 16 metres in size. Anomalies Spotted South of Reull Vallis on Mars Jean Ward 2023-02-28 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_023484_1365) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 31 July 2011 and is described as 'Tongue-Shaped Flow Features South of Reull Vallis.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a new site in Reull Vallis West of a region of Mars called Promethei Terra. Anomalies Spotted on Edge of Charitum Montes on Mars Jean Ward 2023-02-20 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_065964_1265) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 22 August 2020 and is described as 'Gully Monitoring.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a new site on the edge of Charitum Montes in a region of Mars called Argyre Planitia. Additional Weird Anomalies Spotted in Darwin on Mars Jean Ward 2023-02-17 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_076751_1235) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 10 December 2022 and is described as 'Terminus of Potential Amazonian Period Delta Deposit within Darwin Crater.'Here I feature additional anomalies I discovered at a site previously featured in Darwin just West of Noachis Terra. ROVER CURIOSITY Incredible New Photographs (Sol 3737) Jean Ward 2023-02-11 | The two photographs analyzed here were taken by Rover Curiosity on Sol 3737 (10 February 2022).Featured here are two very interesting photographs, one of what looks like one of the moons of Mars and the other of what looks like a huge cloud formation in the Martian atmosphere. 3D RENDER Possible Structure on Plains of Planum Chronium on Mars Jean Ward 2023-02-08 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_076719_1180) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 08 December 2022 and is described as 'Candidate Recent Impact Site.'Here I feature a 3D render I created of, what I speculate, might be an ancient structure, perhaps something like a craft, outpost or industrial plant and it has what appears to be an elbow-jointed pipe on the right-hand side. Strange Artifacts Spotted on the Plains of Planum Chronium on Mars Jean Ward 2023-02-07 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_076719_1180) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 08 December 2022 and is described as 'Candidate Recent Impact Site.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a site on the Plains of Planum Chronium. The anomalies megalithic blocks/slabs with holes/protrusions/knobs in their centers, a possible sculpted/machined artifact, square structure-type artifacts and various other anomalous objects.I wonder if the impact site was caused by some type of old technology that crashed there or perhaps is this a hole and some venting happened there. Artifacts Discovered Near Maraldi on Mars (incl. Martian geology) Jean Ward 2023-01-26 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_074945_1160) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 23 July 2022 and is described as 'Periglacial Survey.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a site near Maraldi in a region of Mars south of Argyre Planitia. The anomalies include: a structure-type anomaly with multiple right-angles/bevels/layers, megalithic blocks/slabs with holes/protrusions/knobs in their centers, a possible sculpted/machined block with parallel slots and various other anomalous objects.I also highlight the geology of this region and compare it to periglacial sites here on Earth, there are similar small boulders and polygonal fractures on the surface of Mars. Dune Field Changes West of Aonia Mons Reveal New Artifacts on Mars Jean Ward 2023-01-06 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_076424_1275) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 15 November 2022 and is described as 'USGS Dune Database Entry Number 2670-522 Changes.'I previously featured anomalies I discovered in this area, NASA in the meantime has photographed the site again after the dunes in the area had moved. The new anomalies I feature here include: megalithic blocks/slabs with protrusions/knobs in their centers, geometric shape depictions and various odds and ends including the strange oval disc-shaped artifact I discovered in the 1st photograph some time back. Additional Artifacts Spotted in Green on Mars Jean Ward 2023-01-01 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_066437_1270) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 28 September 2020 and is described as 'Monitoring Dust Devil Tracks.'The anomalies I feature here I discovered in Green in a region of Mars called Noachis Terra and they include: megalithic blocks/slabs with protrusions/knobs in their centers, geometric shape depictions including rows of two smaller objects on larger objects and a potential old structure/outpost. Artifacts Spotted in Darwin on Mars Jean Ward 2022-12-24 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_075485_1230) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 03 September 2022 and is described as 'Potential Amazonian Delta Deposit within Darwin Crater.'I featured the anomalies I discovered at a site in Darwin to the West of Noachis Terra. The anomalies include: megalithic blocks/slabs with holes/protrusions/knobs in their centers, geometric shape depictions including rows of three smaller objects and depictions of triangles, potential structures/vents/hangars or devastated technology/machinery and a possible outpost. PERSEVERANCE ROVER Spots Rectangular Opening on Side of Butte (Sol 625) Jean Ward 2022-11-24 | The photographs analyzed here were taken by the Perseverance Rover on 22 November 2022 (Sol 625) at the local mean solar time of around 13:09.Here I feature an that looks like a rectangular opening in the side of a butte as well as some 'brick'-like blocks to the right. PERSEVERANCE ROVER Weird Head/Helmet-Shaped Object Spotted on Sol 604 Jean Ward 2022-11-01 | The photograph analyzed here was taken by the Perseverance Rover's Left Mastcam-Z Camera on 1 November 2022 (Sol 604) at the local mean solar time of 14:36:33.Here I feature an anomaly that looks like a sculpted head or even a type of helmet. This could be caused by erosion and if so would indicate the atmosphere on Mars is a lot denser than we've been told. 3D RENDER Strange Dish-Shaped Object in Nereidum Montes on Mars Jean Ward 2022-10-27 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_065515_1400) was taken by NASA’s MRO on 18 July 2020 and is described as ‘Gullies in Nereidum Montes.’Here I feature a 3D render I created of, what I speculate, might be a dish-shaped anomaly on top of a rectangular slab/base. The sanomaly is approximately 8 metres in length. New Photograph Reveals New Anomalies in Chalcoporos Rupes on Mars Jean Ward 2022-10-20 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_074745_1275) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 07 July 2022 and is described as 'Dune Field Monitoring.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a new site in Chalcoporos Rupes in a region of Mars called Noachis Terra. ROVER CURIOSITY Possible Water Seepage Spotted on Sol 3622 Jean Ward 2022-10-17 | The two photographs analyzed here were taken by Rover Curiosity on Sol 3622 (14 October 2022) using its ChemCam.Featured here are three examples of what look similar to water seepage (it looks like liquid seeped up to the surface and ran down the slopes of this sand bank).Also featured here are dozens of small objects that look like fungi (even mushrooms). ROVER CURIOSITY Sol 3610 and 3613 Anomalies Jean Ward 2022-10-09 | The photographs analyzed here were taken by Rover Curiosity on Sol 3610 (2 October 2022) and Sol 3613 (5 October 2022).Seen in these photographs are dozens more spherical objects that appear to be embedded or attached to the sides of a boulders. Some look like small shells (some with holes in them and others with domes on them) while others look like coral and even fungi (even mushrooms). ROVER CURIOSITY Object Zooms Past Rover on Sol 3613 Jean Ward 2022-10-06 | The two photographs analyzed here were taken by Rover Curiosity's Right Navigation Camera on Sol 3613 (5 October 2022) and according to my calculation the two photographs were taken 12 seconds apart.Seen in these photographs is what appears to be an atmospheric anomaly; something like an object moving across the filed of view of the rovers camera.Upon closer inspection it looks like the right part of the object is moving faster than the left part as there is motion blur on the right-side. Or could this object be emitting smoke? ROVER CURIOSITY Possible Embedded Fossilized Shells Spotted on Sol 3603 Jean Ward 2022-09-26 | The photographs analyzed here were taken by the Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI), located on the turret at the end of the rover's robotic arm, on September 25, 2022, Sol 3603 of the Mars Science Laboratory Mission, at 07:49:44 UTC and September 25, 2022, Sol 3603 of the Mars Science Laboratory Mission, at 11:50:37 UTC respectively.Seen in these two photographs are dozens of spherical objects that appear to be embedded or attached to the side of a bolder. The area examined appears to have been brushed/polished by the rover but the spherical object haven't moved and indeed look polished as well.These spherical objects don't look like the typical pebbles photographed by the rovers in the past in that they are not lying on the surface but seem to be embedded or attached to the side of a bolder. PERSEVERANCE ROVER Long Cylindrical Object Spotted on Sol 564 Jean Ward 2022-09-22 | The photograph analyzed here was taken by the Perseverance Rover WATSON Camera on 21 September 2022 (Sol 564) at the local mean solar time of 14:02:08.Here I feature an that looks like a cylindrical pipe, almost like a copper pipe with the ends pinched closed (also it looks like a spent bullet cartridge, not that it is). Strange Items Discovered in Heinlein on Mars Jean Ward 2022-09-16 | The photograph analyzed here (PSP_004219_1155) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 21 June 2007 and is described as 'Sand Dunes.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a new site in Heinlein in a region of Mars called Promethei Terra. The anomalies are diverse and range from megalithic blocks/slabs with protrusions in their centers to triangular depictions on large bases and ling narrow blocks (like columns/pillars perhaps). One anomaly featured here is of special interest: there is an 'L-shaped' object on a rectangular base (very similar to one I discovered in Elysium Planitia).All these anomalies look very similar to others I discovered at a site about 80km to the East. Could be be looking at remnants of ancient megalithic structures that where destroyed in the distant past? MRO Virtually Identical Structures in Milankovic on Mars Jean Ward 2022-09-01 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_074988_2345) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 26 July 2022 and is described as 'Dune Monitoring in Milankovic Crater.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a new site Milankovic in a region of Mars called Arcadia Dorsa. The anomalies are very similar in size and shape, symmetrical and measure 180 m and more wide. It also looks like there are entranceways carved into the sides of each of these structures with ramp-like features leading into them. Could these anomalies be structures camouflaged to look like dunes, technology, windtraps, Mines or fossilized life-forms?Here I also feature anomalies originally discovered by Joe White from ArtAlienTV in the Northern Polar regions of Mars. Joe speculates these are lifeforms, like huge fruit or vegetables. They seem to propagate young life-form in long pods (some 1 to 2 km in length). ROVER CURIOSITY Possible Metallic Object Spotted on Sol 3575 Jean Ward 2022-08-29 | The photograph analyzed here was taken by the Mast Camera (Mastcam) onboard NASA's Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 3575 (2022-08-27 09:14:37 UTC).The object featured here has a bright metallic appearance and it looks like a smashed container. I estimate this object to be about one metre in size. The right-angles and straight edges makes this object stand out from its surroundings and there doesn't appear to be anything else like it nearby. PERSEVERANCE ROVER Strange Anomalies Photographed on Sol 518 and 519 Jean Ward 2022-08-10 | The photographs analyzed here was taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 518 and 519.Here I feature three rather strange anomalies. The 1st one we've seen before in Sol 467 and it looks like some type of metallic foil (NASA claims this is a piece of the landing gear), the 2nd anomaly is another one of these megalithic-type blocks covered in a strange material that looks like plaster or even metal that has rusted away and the 3rd anomaly looks like a track that was imprinted in the surface (it doesn't look like a typical mark the rover would leave). ROVER CURIOSITY True Colours of Mars Revealed in Recent Live NASA Public Talk Jean Ward 2022-08-01 | Here we take a look at photographs NASA/JPL featured in a recent Live NASA Public Talk (streamed live on Jul 22, 2022 ). The photographs reveal vivid colours and a blue Martian atmosphere/sky. The screenshots are from the NASA/JPL presentation and all images and information presented is credit NASA JPL.Why does NASA/JPL apply the red filter to publicly released photographs? ROVER CURIOSITY Doughnut-Shaped Object Spotted on Sol 3545 Jean Ward 2022-07-29 | The two photographs analyzed here were taken by Rover Curiosity's Mast Camera (Mastcam) on Sol 3545 on 2022-07-27 13:25 UTC. 3D RENDER Industrial Plant or Crashed Craft in Aram Chaos on Mars? Jean Ward 2022-07-25 | The photograph analyzed here (E0101132) was taken by NASA’s MOC on 2001-02-17 and is described as ‘Aram Chaos mapping.’Here I feature a 3D render I created of a huge rectangular anomaly found on the equator or Mars in a region called Aram Chaos. Similar Alignments and Patterns Spotted North of Dioscuria on Mars Jean Ward 2022-07-22 | The photograph analyzed here (ESP_026479_2325) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 20 March 2012 and is described as 'Rocky Ground East of Lyot Crater.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a new site North of Dioscuria in a region of Mars called Protonilus Mensae. The anomalies are diverse and include various blocks with protrusions/knobs on them (mostly in their centers), small objects arranged in geometric/symmetrical patterns as well as megalithic blocks/slabs.Here I also present my hypothesis that the small objects arranged in geometric/symmetrical patterns might represent elements (star signs) found in the Summer Triangle Asterism (with Lyra, Cygnus, Altair, Vega and Deneb). ROVER CURIOSITY Termite Mound Update and Foot with Toes - WTH (Sol 3536)? Jean Ward 2022-07-18 | The photograph analyzed here was taken by the Right Navigation Camera onboard NASA's Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 3536 (2022-07-18 09:10:12 UTC).This is also an update to my "termite mound"-like anomaly. Here I speculate the "termite mound"-like anomaly might be a side view of similar objects with knobs/protrusions in their centers we see in many MRO photographs.The main anomaly featured here looks like a foot with four toes sticking out of the sand - not that it is a foot, but the four similar items next to each other in a row looks highly artificial. Anomalies Spotted West of Kuiper on Mars Jean Ward 2022-07-16 | The photograph analyzed here (PSP_005205_1230) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 06 September 2007 and is described as 'Terra Sirenum Crater Interior.'Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a new site West of Kuiper in a region of Mars called Terra Cimmeria. The anomalies are diverse and include a dome/shell shaped object and various blocks with protrusions/knobs on them. ROVER CURIOSITY Termite Mound-Like Anomaly Photographed on Sol 3531 Jean Ward 2022-07-15 | The photograph analyzed here was taken by the Left Navigation Camera onboard NASA's Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 3531 (2022-07-13 08:11:40 UTC).The anomaly featured here looks like a possible termite/ant mound about a half a metre to one metre across. The surface indicates the material may have been very muddy at the time the object formed as well as signs of erosion on the sides of the object.
