DayZ update 1.27 has introduced significant changes to fishing and animal traps, making survival easier in some ways and more challenging in others. I break down the updated fishing mechanics, including reduced junk rates and the rarity of the cooking pot, as well as the massive durability buff to the Fishing Net, Bottle Trap and Snare Trap in this patch.
