A few months back I recorded a whole bunch of Transformers games since I had a bit of a Transformers phase going on and wanted to rewatch the movies and check out the games. One game that I played during that time had not been archived yet so we are doing that today. Dark of the Moon is the first game that was made by the same talented studio that later would make the beloved War and Fall of Cybertron. But with Dark of the Moon they were a bit more restricted in what they could and could not do and because of that this is the lesser of the three games.
But even so it plays a lot better than Transformers The Game and Revenge of the Fallen with tight controls and great action. The story lacks a bit in presentation with pretty boring cutscenes, but the levels are varied and you get to play as a whole bunch of Autobots and even Decepticons during the campaign. It was a taste of what was to come and the future for Transformers was a bright one indeed.
