Finding a full sit-down meal for under $2? It almost "does not compute," but that’s exactly what I found here in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
In this video, I’m visiting the Andorra Restaurant and Bar at the Pyrenees Jogja Hotel. After seeing some great reviews on Google, I decided to stop by for a late breakfast/early lunch to try their traditional offerings.
I ended up ordering the Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and a very unique traditional Javanese drink made with ginger, cinnamon, lemongrass, sapan wood, and rock sugar. The atmosphere is fantastic—very comfortable and relaxed—and the value is truly unheard of compared to prices in places like Malaysia, Thailand, or the US.
The total for the meal, the special drink, and the service charge came out to just $3.94. If you're looking for great deals and authentic flavors in Jogja, this spot is definitely worth a look!
