The course commences on Saturday, the 12th of October
Ten weeks of flourishing and becoming virtuous with Aristotle await you. Seminars for this course begin on Saturday, the 12th of October at 6pm UK time/1pm EST.
There will be 10 seminars in total.
The Good Life awaits us in this text, based in divine leisure as our dwelling ground and the final cause that edges our character, if we heed that ethos also means the essence of the human being. To become human is the call of virtue ethics handed down to us by Aristotle.
I recorded all lectures for this course in Athens. Some of them walking around Aristotle's Lyceum in the good tradition of the peripatetics.

Seminars begin July 27th, 2024.
We tend to think of beauty today as primarily if not exclusively aesthetic. In fact, we consider beauty as subjective, as a matter of personal taste, in the eye of the beholder. But for Plato beauty is ontological and integral to his entire philosophy. Without beauty we cannot see the Idea of the Good — and vice versa. Thus, for Plato beauty is also intimately related to virtue and the Good Life.
We invite you to deepen your understanding of beauty, to remember in the sense of anamnesis what beauty in a primal sense means so as to learn how to find beauty in your life. Thomas hat put together a wonderful course for us on beauty.
