-omg patchouli knowledge, mukuyu ~
patchouli actually used to be my favorite Touhou character for a little bit when I first started getting into Touhou. I kinda vibe with stoic, reserved, introverted personality types. Also, really I liked her design and aesthetic, and that derpy face ZUN would draw for her portraits. I kinda lost interest after a while, but I still think she's cool.
anyway, the remix. i was shooting for a "magical and mysterious" vibe, so I used a bunch of weird synth bells with reverb. I couldn't figure out a way to transition the end of the first loop with the beginning of the first loop, so sorry for the abruptness near the end of the song. also is it just me or is there some Spanish influence in this song. i swear if a mariachi played this song, it'd fit right in with a scene of a bullfighter/matador in some Spanish flick. idk maybe I'm crazy.
btw if you didn't notice, i started a new channel that actually has videos called, "yoekoshrine". it's basically just me uploading full yoeko kurahashi albums because they are none on Youtube (which is freakin messed up man). If ya guys have the time, give the albums a listen or listen to my dumb playlist 50 vid playlist that I meticulously designed for people new to miss kurahashi's music. also, in the spirit of Halloween month, i give you this cursed Touhou video that you are obligated to watch alone in the dark at 3:00: youtube.com/watch?v=9_O9aNSnIDs

- Original Song for reference: youtube.com/watch?v=ygyraTutBJg
- Midi file: gamebanana.com/projects/35371
- Gameplay by maulerfranco666: youtube.com/watch?v=k0Pgvx88Gqs

ZUN's Commentary
Patchouli Knowledge's theme.
Again with this sick feeling...
It's a dark song, without any light or bright moments, despite its quite fast-paced nature.
It could stand to be a little less heavy, as listening to this piece could drag someone down (Laughs)
