I was tagged a long-ass time ago and I actually had it like 99% done for a long-ass time, but I never came to render it and HOLY SHIT. This needed 5 hours??? That's almost longer than my "rise" amv needed, which is quite shocking considering this had like 3 hours of work and the rise amv was like 100 hours of work X'D

ANYWAY. I decided to base my ranking on how often these videos make me cry. I'm not one to cry easily at amvs bc I usually don't get caught up in something in 3 minutes or less. For example, if I want #5 and #4 to make me cry, I need to relax, make it full-screen and REALLY focus on them. For the top 3 they usually always make me cry, except if I really avoid it.
Also, NO MEPS! If I included meps "Still here" from DSST would be here 100%, but it felt unfair and like I was cheating haha.

YLIA is one of those anime I cried my eyes out at, but more at the part with his mother rather than Kaori. I even thought her death was somewhat... strange and too "explosy" if you know what I mean. So this video, making her disapear softly and silently touches my heart more and it sometimes really gets to me. Also the rest of the amv is super nice edited with good use of effects, so you should def check that out!

Romeo x Juliet is one of my guilty pleasures and this edit was one of the first I saw and it was so EPIC back then, and it still is. I love the use of effects and all the voiceovers. Even though it's a trailer, it IS pretty spoiler-y so EHH?? But this line "nothing is born from hatred. It can only cause pain for the other person and yourself" always gets to me!! Like, really hard. It's funny that's my soft spot in this video considering right after it gets to topics of sacrifice and fricking DEATH but i don't know haha.

When I first saw this, I loved it and I cried. And I still love it. And I still cry like... 2 out of 3 times I watch it. And I re-watch it OFTEN. Amber really did an outstanding job with this tribute. The part with "ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind... or forgotten" always gets me with Tangled and gosh I'm almost crying just writing this out here!! This is truly amazing, a GREAT edit with great editing and great feels! If this was a list based on how much I like the editing, this would be #1.

So, the editing isn't the most thrilling, but honestly, SU feels don't even need that. It has a basic motion of atmosphere and all these parallels ohmygosh. The part it starts out with always gets me crying because while I noticed the "Welcome to earth" parallel, I still didn't quite think of how much Garnet's quote fits Peridot in this situation.
I just love this video, it's a great emotional summary of some of the steven universe feels.

I CRY EVERY TIME. Literally. I could just laugh with my mom, shove this in my face and I'LL CRY. I don't even know WHAT it is, just as soon as the line "but life teaches us" I'M ALREADY CLOSE TO TEARS. This edit ALWAYS gets me. And it doesn't even have voice-overs or anything. I blame the music. And the editor is REALLY great!! Go check them out if you haven't!
