Continuing their reminiscences about life in taighean-tughaidh, Betty and Tommy's attention turns towards food and drink, and the important place of staples such as eggs and milk - and sometimes rabbit. Services such as electricity and water were a relatively recent introduction. They recall some of the other thatched houses in the area, with a handful having been done up to meet modern standards.
