Many, many years ago, my friends and I made a very silly Doctor Who video featuring Sevan's model Daleks mixed with live action footage. It was called 'Tomb of the Daleks' (sigh, yes, it was one of THOSE videos!). It was actually released in the 80's in glorious VHS as an opening act to the wonderful "A Fan Called Nigel". It has not stood up well to the test of time.
Since I've gone all digital, I've been playing around with replacing some of the footage with modern digital replacements, to test out my animation and effects skills I developed on the 'Space: 1959' project. I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out. In this shot, the TARDIS is out of control and spiralling down to the planet Gravellon, which is the most over-used story location in the Universe. (I told you it was one of THOSE videos!).
As is usual with myself, things got out of hand and I'm in danger of replacing the whole thing, including the main characters with digital avatars and sets.
I have another project I've already started working on while I wrap up 'Space: 1959', but I intend to keep chipping away at this thing. Stay tuned!
