Join us for our visit to South Queensferry on board MSC Virtuosa — although this stop didn’t quite go to plan.
Unfortunately, because South Queensferry is a tender port and Sue is wheelchair-bound, we were unable to leave the ship and make it ashore. To make matters worse, Sue wasn’t feeling well for most of the day, so this ended up being a much quieter day than we had hoped for at the start of our cruise.
We still tried to make the best of it. We enjoyed breakfast on board, spent some relaxing time in the Sky Lounge watching the views of the Forth Bridge and surrounding area, and later in the day I brought Sue some dinner from the buffet while she continued to rest and recover.
It certainly wasn’t the ideal start to our cruise, and because of everything going on, we didn’t manage to capture as much video as we normally would. But cruising isn’t always sunshine and shore excursions — sometimes it’s about adapting and making the best of difficult days too.
