In this video, we head down the south coast of Upolu Island to visit the legendary To Sua Ocean Trench in Lotofaga Village.

Instead of taking a direct route, I turned my ferry terminal transfer into a little sight seeing tour!

I managed to squeeze in three secret stops along the Main South Coast Road before our final drop-off at Lalomanu Beach.

I arrived at To Sua and found absolutely no one else in the trench! Standing on that massive wooden ladder and swimming in the crystal-clear turquoise waters completely solo was an unforgettable and somewhat scary

PRO TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT:
Beat the Crowds: Arrive early on a weekday like we did if you want a chance to get the trench all to yourself!
Cost: Entry is 25 Tala (cash only) paid to the local village.
Tides: Keep an eye on the tides as the underground currents can get strong.
