I present to you all this Sendback Saturday clip of a 60-second satellite LF from New Year's Eve 2005, recorded seventeen years ago today. Note how there is a green frozen LDL throughout the LF that says "Since Midnight: High 17º", this was due to some sort of bug with the Omak WeatherSTAR 4000 unit which took place for several days around the time of recording before the 4000 was eventually restored.Recorded onto an SLP-recorded VHS tape (later digitized to DVD) from Grand Coulee, WA on Charter channel 12. The Weather Channel Green Screen Glitch: September 1, 2022 TWCJim 2022-09-01 | Just a glitchy green screen with the audio playing as normal. Not sure what the heck is going on here, but this is what I'm seeing at the moment on The Weather Channel via the Spectrum TV app on channels 19 and 763 at my house near Astoria. There is also a Vocal Local glitch during the Tonight text-based where the wind narration doesn't match the text, i.e. 5 to 10 MPH instead of 10 to 15 MPH. TWC Satellite Local Forecast on Dish Network- July 16, 2011- 8:57AM PDT TWCJim 2022-07-16 | Sendback Saturday: here's a two minute Dish satellite LF (national IntelliSTAR #27119) with a TWC station ID, recorded 11 years ago today. This was during the period when smooth jazz music was last played on the LFs, before The Weather Channel eventually ditched said music in favor of more pop, rock and others with vocals, then ultimately the repetitive production music heard today. At the time of this video recording, I was spending the night at a motel in Moses Lake, Washington, where TWC was found on channel 21 through a customized headend that used Dish SD receiver boxes.Features "One More Time" by Brian Simpson. TV Channel Surfing: Over The Air (OTA) Antenna, Long Beach, WA [July 2022] TWCJim 2022-07-08 | Here's another look at my OTA channel lineup as of right now, channel count currently 23. During the last month alone, channel 49.3 switched from Bounce TV to Circle, and KGW added This TV and TheGrio to channels 8.5 and 8.6, respectively. Additionally, I no longer receive KPWT-LD (Heroes & Icons) and its subs on channels 3.1 through 3.6 because its reception deteriorated for me and those channels were either coming in very poorly or not at all, so I simply deleted them from my TV's channel list, granted I never really watched any of them anyway. The Weather Channel App (Amazon Fire TV) with updated graphics- May 5, 2022 TWCJim 2022-05-05 | Here's a look at the TWC App on Fire TV, updated as of this month. Notable changes include a major graphics overhaul of the interactive weather screen. The IS2 XD-style LDL was also updated with some changes, particularly faster weather icons as well as the addition of the pollen count and air quality forecasts.My opinion on these updates, this app now seems a bit more glitchy compared to the previous version.
