An employee reached Master Rank on the Washington Post video game team, Launcher, in Nintendo's latest MOBA craze "Pokemon Unite." Video producer Jhaan Elker dipped into the insanity that is solo queue — playing a team-based online competitive game without a set team — and somehow reached the final tier of ranking.

Following the mobile update, Jhaan shares his tips for newcomers and those stuck in Veteran or Expert Hell, from "Rotate to Dred" to "call your lane," to item loadouts and recommended Pokemon for climbing.
