After watching this microphone review, you will know how the TUR88 USB condenser mic sounds when using it for podcasting, live streaming or YouTube.
While normally I am a big fan of XLR microphones today I want to have a closer look at this USB microphone instead.
Especially beginners, who just want to try podcasting, live streaming, or YouTube, may start with a USB desktop microphone, simply because it is so easy to use.
Just keep in mind that while USB mics are easier to use, an XLR mic, on the other hand, can give you more flexibility down to road because you can connect it to different pieces of audio gear.
So while a USB microphone may be easier to use at first, in the long run, if you ever want to make the switch to XLR gear, it may prove to be a disadvantage.
Overall I think the TUR88 Supernova microphone has nice build quality, and a long USB cable is included as well.
While personally, I don’t really need the 4 different pickup patterns, because I mostly use cardioid microphones anyway, for some people it may be an interesting feature.
