A bit of a twin day at the flying field, with three very different twin-engine models taking to the air.
First up is my modified Vulcan, fitted with twin EDFs. After a few tweaks, it's finally flying reasonably well, although the gyro gain still needs some adjustment. The important thing is that the concept works — and those two little EDFs sound fantastic!
Next is a second-hand 30mm A-10 Warthog picked up locally. It's clearly had a hard life, but thankfully it gets airborne and shows plenty of promise. A few tweaks are needed, but I'm happy with the result.
Finally, it's back to the trusty UMX Ultrix, showing why this little twin is such a fun and forgiving model. A bit of slow, high-alpha flying, the classic falling leaf and some general messing about.
Three twins, three flights, and a very successful day!
