One year ago (plus 3 days), I told Josh that we were expecting a baby. This is the song that I wrote and recorded to tell him the news.
I had written Three months before that day, when we decided we wanted to start a family. When I found out I was pregnant, Josh was working from home because of Covid. I knew I wanted to play this song for him to tell him the news. So I sat in my office quietly trying to record it so he couldn’t hear the lyrics before it was all done. I managed to finish recording the song without him hearing it but he was suspicious the next day when I asked him to sit down and listen to it while I had my camera out recording it. I just had to capture his reaction. It's just such a special memory -- telling him that the moment we had been hoping and praying for had finally arrived. That our family was growing. 💛
