Darkest Dungeon - Butchers Circus - Grand finale
updated
This video shows a comp made by NotStormyToday and it shows 5 win matches.
The Emerald Sniper is a ,,damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Flagellant (Gauntlet of Absolution + damage trinket) - DoT dealer
2nd: Abomination (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Grave robber (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
4th: Musketeer (Tincture of Iodine + damage trinket) - healer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Musketeer + Grave robber)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) Great healing potential
6) 2 disruptors
7) 2 deathblowers
8) Disruption isn’t a menace
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
The Emerald Sniper is a nice damage team with great strength of stress and DoT. You have 3 (self)healers, 2 disruptors, 2 deathblowers and a mark synergy. Unfortunately this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „mark team“, „original setup“, „the finishers“ and „mix damage + DoT“. I tried both variantions of Abomination (melee beast / DoT puker), the „DoT puker“ is better choice. And Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are actually good.
My advice: Start with Abomination for opening the riposte, next use Flagellant for applying DoT, then Grave robber for dealing some damage/stress and lastly Musketeer also for dealing damage.
What a team! I was suprised, how these matches went. Sure, one defeat against darkest player with mark team, but it was a thrilling match. The great team’s advantages are in stress+DoT output. And also the disruption on yours side isn’t problem, everyone can move even with some skills. The „mark team“ isn’t that great, but it’s possible to play it. And honestly I really like „pure damage“ Grave robber here, she can make good pressure to 2 opponent’s characters.
But what was concerning me, after 2nd victory, instead of leveling up in rank, my progress went backwards. How and why? I dunno. Curious.
Anyway, very fun to play, not problems with harder opponents and many possible approaches for playing! Awesome, I love it! You’ve should try it too!

Motley Crew is a ,,damage-stress" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Abomination (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Man at arms (Spiked shield + accuracy trinket) - supporteer
3rd: Antiquarian (Tears of the Lost + dodge trinket) - stress dealer
4th: Arbalest (healing trinket + damage trinket) - damage dealer
PROS:
1) Porcupine
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) Great healing potential
6) 2 guardians
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) Disruption is a menace
Motley Crew is an odd damage team, that combines stress and DoT. You have 3 (self)healers, 2 riposters and 2 guardians. Sadly this team is vulnerable against stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, such as „full stress“, „the finishers“, „virtue team“ and „porcupine“. I tried both variantions of Abomination (melee beast / DoT puker), both variantions are good.
My advice: Start with Man at arms for opening the riposte OR buffing the team, next use Abomination for stunning someone, then Antiquarian for regeneration spam and lastly Arbalest for dealing damage.
Long time ago I played very similiar team to this [The A Team] and it was absolute banger. Now I got a chance to play this team. It's a little bit different, Abomination in 1st position, that means "no full porcupine". Since you cannot make a good porcupine, you can always transform Abomination to beast version and make great damage and disruption. And I can confirm, after this set of matches, both teams are great even with differences. It's a same ol' situation. 0 loses, harder opponents are not a problem and great pressure. You've should try them too!

2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) Great healing potential
6) 3 stunners

I tried to play a few strategies, like „virtue team“, „original setup“, „full stress“ and „porcupine“. I tried both variantions of Abomination (melee beast / DoT puker), probably the „melee beast“ is better option. And Man at arms (damager / stresser), only damage variantion is better choice.
My advice: Start with Crusader or Abomination for stunning someone, next use Man at arms for buffing the team / opening the riposte, lastly Houndmaster for applying DoT.
I’m dissapointed with this team. Long time ago I was hoping for playing this, on paper looks quite nice - lots of stunners, riposting, DoT. Sounds promising. The reality is way more different… First - you cannot activate full porcupine, because of Abomination in 1st position. Second - your Crusader will always miss his first attack, even with accuracy buffs / trinkets. Third - RNGsus will screw you in dealing deathblows. And lastly (at least for me) fourth - you will get only easy players and even that it’s hard to play. I struggled long time to make some progress, usual tactics didn’t worked, the original setup is just bad because of trinkets and what pisses me off, I couldn’t manage to won a match with all characters (only in starting 2 matches). 3 defeats - against veteran player with damage team [Ancient Chinese special] and 2 darkest players with DoT teams. And I was close to be victorious against veteran player, but he used TACTICAL DESYNC on my winning side.
About score: Actually I tried to achieve at least one more victory with all characters alive - playing the „full stress“ strategy against novice player. I won, but 2 characters died.
I don’t like this team.

Burden of faith is an odd damage team with some strength of stress and little bit of DoT. All characters can (self)heal and you have 2 stunners. That’s it, no other advantages has this team, and it’s vulnerable against every possible team, no matter on player’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „mix damage + stress“, „mix damage + DoT“, „support Crusader“ and „full stress“. None of these strategies are worthy.
My advice: Instead of playing this, search for real work and start making money, at least you will not suffer harder than playing this monstrosity.
Horrible. Team. You have 3 frontliners and one great healer in backline, which is an easy target for mark teams. You have no pressure, no synergies, no great damage output (because of 2nd-3rd position) and disruption is a real menace. I admit one thing - most matches I skipped. Why? Playing 1st strategy against darkest players with based teams… ONLY. Not a single chance. After depleting my mental patience, I tried to play only against „easier“ opponents, but this team is so hard to play, the victories were not satisfying either. The score is telling only 4 defeats (2x darkest players - one with unusual Occultist stress team, one with mark team; an apprentice player with lame based team [World Dominantion] and DoT Bot). You have no idea, how painful was playing this comp, and I’m glad, that I made it. Otherwise this would be impossible to achieve victories.
Playing this was like going on vaccation to pennance hall for 1 month to restore your mental health.

Ace of 9‘s is a ,,stress-DoT“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Grave robber (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
2nd: Flagellant (Gauntlet of Absolution + damage trinket) - DoT dealer
3rd: Jester (damage trinket + dodge trinket) - deathblow dealer

PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) Great healing potential
5) 2 deathblowers
6) Disruption isn’t a menace
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace

Ace of 9’s is a weird stress team with great strength of DoT and pure damage. All characters can make AoE damage, next you have 2 healers and 2 deathblowers. This team is vulnerable against every possible team, no matter on player’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „bard Jester“, „full DoT“, „the finishers“ and „mix damage + DoT“. I tried both variantions of Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are good.
My advice: Try a different team instead.
Long time ago I watched Diogee’s videos about his „Butcher’s circus crusade“, when he showcased this team. Before I made notes about the setup, he simply disappeared from the scene and all videos were deleted. I tried to contact him via Youtube, Steam or Discord, but no response. So, I had to improvise. And… boi, oh, boy… this was harsh.
Badly positioned Grave robber and so many choices for starting the 1st turn. Probably the best choice for playing was „full DoT“ strategy - starting with Jester, next to Flagellant, then Grave robber and lastly Antiquarian, but sometimes you cannot use that because of opponent (if you will face f.e. mark team, you need start differently). What’s worse… After 1st used strategy I really tried to play „full stress“. IT’S NOT POSSIBLE. At least for me. Why? Darkest players. I played a „full stress“ strategy only against darkest players with stress or DoT teams. Not a single chance to win the match.
After losing my mind and thinking about another strategy, I found on Youtube another video called „Ace of 9’s“, this time by player „Trubbs“ and I like that setup and strategy. But I found something disturbing in that video. His showcased team wasn’t „Ace of 9’s“, but similiar team by Wynterbliss [Gwave Wobber]. Even thou I tried that setup, but I got no chance for victory.
I lost many matches, as I wrote before - against veteran player with mark team, against champion player with DoT team and 3x darkest players with DoT or stress team. Sure, I got only these players, but what’s more funny about this, I really want to play against novices, but when I got them, they just surrendered in 1st turn. So… no victories (probably 6x). Despair was my name in that moment. After that I just stop playing the team and try it next day = 2 victories, 0 defeats.
This team is so bad, that I cannot believe and understand, how the owner could won some matches against darkest players. It’s mystery for me. You can play only “full” or “mix damage + DoT”, other strategies are worthless. No different approaches, no synergies, no original setup and badly positioned Grave robber. And no one will convince me otherwise.
Playing this was like playing poker, but all your cards are on table and everyone can see, what you got.
For another tips and how play this team better, ask Diogee (on Discord) - if it’s possible.

I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „mix damage + DoT“, „support Crusader“ and „Anti-stress team“. DO NOT USE STRESS TACTICS! It’s not worth for playing.
My advice: Good choice, if your Leper have a skill „Purge“, if yes, use it as first move. Next use Jester for buffing the team, then Crusader for dealing some damage and lastly Houndmaster for applying DoT.
Right now I have a mixed feelings. If you look closely, this team has no synergies and no advantages. I really tried to play the usual strategies, but they just didn’t work. I struggled with this team many hours, big amount of defeats by all ranked players (except for champions), some of them played stress teams, some DoT teams and one darkest player even pure damage team. After completed 2 strategies, I tried to play „full stress“ strategy (all characters with stress trinkets, Leper with „Intimidation“ skill), and that broke me. Every opponent was only darkest player and I didn’t have a chance to beat them. After a hour pause I tried once more and won the matches against darkest players. How? I don’t know, I am still confused, why previous matches were hard and at the end it was… easy?
I cannot explain my feelings. What I can explain for sure, is the team’s rating. If these players hadn't appeared at the end and I hadn't beaten them, they would receive the lowest rating. Team is really BAD, no jokes, no one will convice me for different rating. You have some chances to defeat harder opponents, still I don’t recommend this trash.

1st: Leper (accuracy trinket + damage trinket) - damage dealer
2nd: Abomination (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
4th: Occultist (stress trinket + dodge trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Occultist + Highwayman)
2) Porcupine
3) Great damage output
4) Great stress output
5) Great DoT output
6) Great healing potential
7) 4 disruptors
8) 2 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
Kaschey’s stress is a nice damage team with great strength of stress and DoT. All characters can make AoE damage and disrupt opponent’s team, next you have 3 (self)healers, 2 deathblowers (if we count Occultist’s „Sacrificial stab“ on afflicted character), 2 riposters and a mark synergy. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „mark team“, „original setup“, „the finishers“ and „porcupine“. I tried both variantions of Abomination (melee beast / DoT puker), and Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), for both characters all of these variantions are good.
My advice: Good choice, if your Leper have a skill „Purge“, if yes, start with him, otherwise use Highwayman for opening the riposte, same for Abomination as next move. Lastly Occultist for dealing some stress.
Very nice team! The powerful combo of disruption and riposting is very useful here. If you make a chaos in opponent’s team, you have great chances to win the match, even against harder opponents. I lost only once against darkest player with a stress team, but it was nicely played. Here you have many choices for playing, shame that I got for „original setup“ only the novice player and not a harder opponent. Anyway, very good team, I like it!

Very unusual team, but I like it! Abomination in 1st position isn’t great, but if you start as 1st, you can make a good disruption on the other side. Great advantage lies in 2 riposters and 4 disruptors. You can make great pressure for opponent, no matter via the pure damage or stress output. The disadvantage is in 2 not-great healers - one is self-healer, one RNG slot machine. Still, you can win even against harder opponents. You’ve should try them too!

Ok, sounds promising. And then the original setup… against darkest players and veterans. NO. CHANCE. I have no clue, how’s possible, that „original setup“ won some matches against darkest players? Not for me, I guess. And after switching to different strategies, the results weren’t different. I lost 6x - 2x against darkest players, one with mark team, one with DoT team and 4x against veteran players (damage-stress-DoT teams). This team was real pain in butt, if it wasn’t that last victory against darkest player, this team would have the lowest rating. But since you have some chances to beat harder opponents… Still, I don’t like this team and I don‘t not recommend it.

Claudius favorite is a damage team, that combines also stress and lots of DoT. All characters can make AoE damage, next you have 3 (self)healers, 2 stunners and worthless mark synergy. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „full stress“, „virtue team“, „mix damage + DoT“ and „mark team“. I tried both variantions of Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), the bandit version is the best choice.
My advice: Start with Crusader for stunning someone, next open the riposte with Highwayman, then Antiquarian for regeneration spam and lastly Houndmaster for applying DoT.
About score: One match against novice player. After his 1st turn, he surrendered. The match wasn’t even 1 minute long.
About team: First things first, I tried to find the original setup, but I didn’t succeed. One time the owner sends me a short message, something like „My favourite teams are stress oriented“, which didn’t helped me so much. Well, I had to improvise. And it was roller coaster.
Back to the start - I tried my preferable strategies and they didn’t work well, then I tried the unusual and something worked. BUT if you will look closely, you will see the players in queue… yeah, not that great. I lost 4x - 3x against darkest players with DoT teams (I had no chance to win with „mix damage + DoT“ strategy) and once against a veteran player with damage team. The team lacks of pressure for opponent, you have only worthless mark synergy, that can be countered (Houndmaster’s „Mark“ can be used as distraction), and not great accuracy. You need to spam regeneration and use Highwayman as bandit, not gunslinger (unless the „full stress“ strategy). Playing this was kinda mid, but honestly I don’t like this team.

Red Hook is a ,,damage-stress" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Crusader (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Vestal (accuracy trinket + stun trinket) - healer
4th: Plague doctor (accuracy trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great healing potential
4) 2 stunners
5) 2 disruptors
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
Red Hook is a damage team, that combines also stress and little bit of DoT. You have 3 healers, 2 stunners and 2 disruptors. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „full stress“, „support Crusader“ and „mix damage + stress“. I tried both variantions of Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), the bandit version better choice. And Plague doctor (stress / DoT), the DoT variantion is optimal for playing.
My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte. Next use one of your stunners (Crusader / Vestal), lastly Plague doctor for applying DoT / stress.
When you start the Darkest Dungeon campaign (after the „Old road“ section with Reynauld and Dismas), you will recieve 2 other characters - Plague doctor and Vestal. Before proceeding to the 1st Ruin dungeon, you can only create a team with Crusader, Highwayman, Plague doctor and Vestal, and most players take only 2 legendary variantions = „The Usual Suspects“ [VES-PD-HIGH-CRS] or „Red Hook” [PD-VES-HIGH-CRS]. Both are the great starting teams, that you can create. But how these two can stand in Butcher’s Circus?
If you understand these characters and give them good setup (trinkets + skills), you can beat even harder opponents. It’s not an easy task to survive with all characters, but it’s possible. Mark teams are a big menace, nice that you have 3 healers, but nobody can clear marks or stuns. The team’s great advantage is in stunners and Highwayman - thanks to his riposting the opponent will have trouble to attack you directly, while you can make disruption on his side. I hope to faced at least 1 darkest player, sadly I got only these players, and I lost only once against veteran player with stress team.
My conclusion - if you make a good setup and play the obvious strategies (mix damage + stress/DoT), you have great chance to win the match. Because of these players and less advantages as usual, I can give them a solid mid rate. Not a bad team!

3rd: Jester (dodge trinket + damage trinket) - deathblow dealer
4th: Crusader (healing trinkets) - healer
PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) Great healing potential
5) 2 disruptors
6) Disruption isn’t a menace
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) DoT is a menace
Swiss knife is a damage team, that combines also stress and DoT. All characters can make AoE damage, next you have 2 healers and 2 disruptors. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „original setup“, „support Crusader“, „mix damage + DoT“ and „the finishers“. The „mix damage + DoT“ is probably the best strategy for playing.
My advice: Start with Jester for buffing the team, next use Leper for an immediate attack, then Shieldbreaker for disruption and lastly Crusader for dealing some damage OR healing (stress).
Well, now this team. I have a mixed feelings about this team. As you can see, the team doesn’t have much advantages, only few. The disruption here isn’t so bad, it’s possible to move the pushed Leper forward thanks to Shieldbreaker and Jester. And the damage output is big, if you buff the team. UNFORTUNATELY if you will face some stress teams, you will lose. No chance. I lost 4x - 4x against darkest players (two with strange DoT teams, one with stress team and one with mark team). I almost lost the penultimate match against novice player. Horrendous. The big suprise for me was the last match - against the team owner. Quite a nice match.
My conclusion - don’t lose Jester or Shieldbreaker. If they'll die, you cannot win the match, because I will lose the momentum/pressure for opponent. Playing this was… mid.

Mixed bag is a damage team, that combines also stress and DoT. You have 3 healers, 3 disruptors, 2 deathblowers (if we count Occultist’s „Sacrifical stab“ on afflicted character) and useless mark synergy. This team is weak against every possible team, no matter on player’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „full stress“, „support Crusader“ and „mix damage + DoT“. I tried both variantions of Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), the bandit version is the ONLY one worth for playing. And both variantions of Plague doctor (stress / DoT), DoT is better choice.
My advice: Before starting playing this team, check if you have better things to do. Don’t waste time with this…
I hate this team. I. HATE. THIS. TEAM. Useless characters, which cannot make a good pressure for opponent. Good healing stuff and stress output, but that’s it. Doesn't matter, which strategy to take, you will still suffer. I played many… many matches, against novices-apprentices-veterans-darkests. Everyone defeated me, some matches were close calls, but… No. Darkest players simply played nothing else than some based mark teams, veterans DoT teams and novices pure damage teams. You can be shuffled very easily, mark synergy is worthless (I tried that too, but no bueno), backliners are an easy target. Forget this team and play something else.
Playing this was like making a dump in a bag, where you have your personal belongings, but after dumping you realize, you need these belongings right now.
NEVERMORE.

Sheperd’s special is a nice damage team, that combines also stress and little bit of DoT. You have 3 disruptors, 2 deathblowers (if we count Arbalest’s „Sniper shot“ on marked character), 2 healers and powerful mark synergy. Sadly this team is vulnerable against stress and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „original setup“, „support Crusader“, „mix damage + DoT“ and „full stress“. The „original setup“ is the best strategy for playing. In „support Crusader“ I tried even the „double finisher“ strategy.
My advice: Start with Bounty hunter for disruption OR marking someone, next use Arbalest for dealing massive damage. Then Crusader for stunning someone and lastly Shieldbreaker for dealing some damage.
What a team! Really shame, that I got only these players, so it wasn’t challenging. I’m glad, that I got AT LEAST a veteran player for trying „original setup“, the champion-darkest player would be much better option for comparison, but it is what it is. The team has great advantages, 3 disruptors, mark synergy and great healing. I like this team, sadly I cannot give them higher rate than „mid“, because of players. Still, not a bad team!

Now this team… They don't have much to offer, but you have some advantages, in 2 deathblowers and AoE damage. I was suprised, that I won few matches against harder opponents, but I lost 2x against apprentice players with LAME based teams [shepARB’s stress, The Darkest Mark], and 1x against darkest player with a stress team. You can make some pressure to the opponent, but you must be still agressive. If you switch to defensive strategy, you will lose. Playing this was mid, even with victories against harder opponents.

My advice: Start with Abomination for disruption, next use Crusader for stunning someone. Then Occultist for stressing someone and lastly Grave robber for dealing damage.
Awesome. Team. I wasn’t expected that much power from them. The combination of duo stunners + duo deathblowers is so powerful, even based teams don’t have much chances to win. And great advantage is also in healing, that can cover all characters. Sadly I lost only once against darkest player with a strange DoT team („virtue team“ strategy). But yeah, you have many possibilities for playing, you can make a great pressure to the opponent, healing isn’t an issue and with luck you can reach even the opponent’s character in 4th position. Not a perfect score, but still I love this team! You’ve should try them too!

When RNGsus chose this team for me, I was looking for the original setup and I found other team, that was named like this. I wasn’t sure, if I made a mistake or it was just coincidence, but after while I found the „original source“ - this team was took from DD‘s tournament video by Mikefield [123jman vs Baguera | Bo3 | Qualifiers to Butcher's League | Day 1 Round 1 | Butcher's Circus], where 135jman had this team in his draft, but unfortunately he didn’t play them, so I couldn’t try the original setup. The other team, that have same name as this comp, is one of Sheperd Doggy’s video [THE QUEEN'S GUARD from 135jman! The Butcher's Circus].
Now, my conclusion about this team (tournament team) - it’s horrible. Nice, that you have good damagers and tanks, but that’s it. You can make some stress and DoT, but it’s very low and if you’ll face some mark team, your applied DoT/stress will be cured. Next problem - disruption. Leper in 3rd position is probably “game over”, unless you will push him into the frontline in time. And lastly Plague doctor - an easy target and low-range healing. I lost 3x - 2x against novice players with pure damage team with 2 stunners, and 1x against darkest player with lame “Flagellant-Crusader” duo. Playing this wasn’t enjoyable, you are just relying on pure damage. I don’t like this team, sorry.

Very long time ago I played a similiar team to this [Outsiders] and it was quite nice, even with defeats. Playing this now, it was a little bit harder. I lost 3x against darkest players, one was playing lame based team, one quite a nice DoT team and one with duo “Flagellant-Crusader”. The main problem of the team is its “fragility”, not much HP and only 1 good damager (Leper). They can be disrupted easily, so that’s another problem. My advice: Start with Bounty hunter for disruption, next use Man at arms for buffing the team, then use Jester for (de)buffing the team OR simply attack. Lastly Occultist for stressing or healing. DON’T LOSE HIM!
When I looked into my notes, I noticed the team’s big disadvantage - one RNG-slot machine healing. But on the other hand 2 very good deathblowers and mark synergy. Honestly I wasn’t expected 0 loses, even against harder opponents. You can make a good pressure to the opponent, disruption is very powerful to use. Even with this perfect score I cannot give them the highest rate, because it lacks more healers, and if I faced at least one more harder opponent. But yeah, I’m suprised, how good is this team. I like it!

My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte, next use one of your stunners (Abomination / Crusader) for stunning someone. Lastly Plague doctor for applying stress OR buffing one of your team members by „Emboldening Vapours“.
Firstly I must confess, in past I wrote notes about this team - including original setup, sadly I lost them. I had to improvise. What’s great about this comp, you can play many strategies, not only these showed (f.e. I wished to try „Porcupine“, „The finishers“, „full damage“ strategies too). Very versatible team. Lots of healers, 2 powerful stunners and everyone can make AoE damage. I would gladly give them highest rate, sadly I got only these players, if there was at least 1 another hard opponent. I was looking long time for this team, looks nice, many advantages. Yeah, maybe in heaven. The team is not that great as it looks. The main problem here is the damage output, only Abomination can make great damage. If you not sacrifice a move forward with you Man at arms (or Antiquarian), you cannot open the porcupine’s full potential. About score: One match against darkest player. After using Houndmaster’s „Blackjack“ to his Highwayman, opponent left the match. It wasn’t even 1 minute long game. One day I will show you.
What a team! Because of DoT’s and stress you can make great pressure to the opponent and what’s more, don’t be afraid of healing, because everyone can (self)heal. Unfortunately I lost only 1 match against darkest player with based stress team (close call). On the other hand, Plague doctor is really easy target and if you will face a team with Shieldbreaker / Abomination, the chances for winning will be low. Still, very good team!

I tried both variantions of Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser) and Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), for both these variantions are actually good. The „double finisher“ strategy contains also „support Crusader“.
My advice: Start with Bounty hunter for disruption, next use Highwayman for dealing massive damage, then Grave robber for dealing damage / applying DoT and lastly Crusader for stunning someone OR healing.
Now this team… You can make some pressure for opponent with a good mark synergy or via deathblowers, but you are also fragile, specifically your Crusader will be targeted as first. You must defend him at all costs! If you lose him, you lose the match. I was defeated 2x, once against champion player with lame based team, and once against darkest player with lame „Flagellant-Crusader“ duo. Still, you can beat even harder opponents. Theory of relativity is an odd damage team, that combines also stress and DoT. You have 3 deathblowers (if we count Arbalest’s „Sniper shot“ on marked character), 2 disruptors and a mark synergy. This team is vulnerable against stress and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „mix damage + DoT“, „mark team“ and „mix damage + stress“. I tried both variantions of Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are actually good. For Man at arms (damager / stresser), you must have him as DAMAGER. I really tried to play „full stress“ strategy (all characters with stress trinkets, Arbalest with „Suppressing fire“, instead of „Sniper shot“), but this tactic is useless.
My advice: Firstly open the riposte with Man at arms, next use Jester or Grave robber for dealing damage. Lastly Arbalest, use her as healer. No matter on opponent’s team, DEFEND HER at all costs! If you lose her, you lose the match.
Horrible. Team. Nice, that you have 3 deathblowers and mark synergy, but it’s worthless. More worthless is any tactic with „stress“ output, you don’t have great stressers. What’s much worse, you must rely on Arbalest’s healing skill. If you lose her, you lose the match. Like me, I tried to play my usual strategies and even that was too bad. I lost 2x against darkest players with a decent DoT teams, 2x against novice players with unusual teams, and lastly I lost against DoT Bot. You can’t make a good pressure to the opponent, healing is really bad and mark synergy… meh. I would gladly give them the lowest rating, BUT you can beat even harder opponents. PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Bounty hunter + Houndmaster / Arbalest)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) Great healing potential
6) 2 disruptors
7) 2 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) DoT is a menace
3) Disruption is a menace
Underdog team is a damage team, that combines also stress and DoT. You have 3 (self)healers, 2 disruptors, 2 deathblowers (if we count Arbalest’s „Sniper shot“ on marked character) and powerful mark synergy. Sadly this team is vulnerable against stress and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „original setup“, „mark team“, „double finisher“ and „full stress“. The „mark team“ and „original setup“ are best for playing.
My advice: Start with Bounty hunter for disruption, next use Flagellant for applying DoT, then Houndmaster for dealing massive damage and lastly Arbalest for dealing massive damage.
It’s a nice team, if you’re playing the obvious strategies - mark team or original setup. I don’t think, it’s needed to say more about mark synergy, you mark with Bounty hunter, Houndmaster and Arbalest will do the rest. Unfortunately I lost 3x - twice with “full stress” strategy against veteran player with LAME based team [shepARB’s stress] and once against champion player with DoT team. If you omit the unusual strategies, the team is very good.

4th: Hellion (accuracy trinket + damage trinket) - damage dealer
PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) Great healing potential
5) 2 guardians

1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) DoT is a menace
5) Disruption is a menace
Kerosene is a damage team with great strength of stress and DoT. You have 3 (self)healers, 2 guardians and many ways for applying stress and DoT. Unfortunately this team is vulnerable against stress and mark teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „original setup“, „mix damage + DoT“, „double finisher“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Man at arms (damager / stresser) and Hellion (damager / stresser), for both it’s better to stick with damage variantion.
My advice: Start with Man at arms for opening the riposte OR buffing the team, next use Flagellant for applying DoT, then Antiquarian for regeneration spam and lastly Hellion for dealing some damage.
Interesting team! DoT hybrid team with Hellion in the backline. You can make a pressure to the opponent, guard your characters if it’s necessary, but most importantly the team’s gimmick is in Hellion. If you buff hers CRIT chance, she can make very… very great amount of damage. Sadly I lost 2x against darkest players with based teams. Honestly, the team is good, I like it, but I cannot give them higher rate unless mid, because of players in the queue.

2nd: Bounty hunter (Grappling Mits + accuracy trinket) - deathblow dealer
3rd: Grave robber (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
4th: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Bounty hunter + Grave robber / Highwayman)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) 2 disruptors
6) 4 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) DoT is a menace
5) Disruption is a menace
6) Low healing potential
Cutthroats is a damage team, that combines also stress and DoT. All characters are deathblowers, next you have 2 disruptors and a mark synergy, but only one self-healer. This team is weak against every possible team, no matter on player’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „double finishers“, „mix damage + DoT“, „mark team“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), it’s better to stick with damage variantion. And also Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are actually good. And lastly Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), bandit version is MUST HAVE.
My advice: Firstly open the riposte with Highwayman, next use Bounty hunter for disruption OR use skill „Caltrops“, if you have it. Then Hellion for applying some DoT and lastly Grave robber for dealing damage.
Long time agon I played a very similiar team to this [The Wolf Pack] and it was disaster. And this team is the same disaster as the first mentioned. Nice, that all your characters are deathblowers, but that doesn’t mean, you can make some pressure. No healings (only Hellion), not great mark synergy and what’s really bad, you can’t buff the team with accuracy - you will miss often than usual. I lost… many times, no matter if it was novice, veteran or darkest player. Everyone played only based teams or “Flagellant-Crusader” combo, some novices had RNGsus on their side. This was painful. That similiar team to this [The Wolf Pack] have a bad rate by me, but this team is much worse, why? Positions of Grave robber and Highwayman (it’s better to have Highwayman on 3rd position from the start, because of moving forward (Duelist advance) and then stress skills, than have him in the backline).
Playing this was like cutting some meat with baseball bat.

1st: Crusader (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Leper (damage trinket + accuracy trinket) - damage dealer
3rd: Vestal (stun trinket + accuracy trinket) - healer
4th: Flagellant (healing trinkets) - healer
PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great healing potential
4) 2 stunners
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) DoT is a menace
5) Disruption is a menace
The Last Supper is an odd damage team, that combines also stress and very little bit of DoT. All characters can (self)heal and you have 2 stunners. That’s it, no other advantages you have. And the team’s weakness? Well, everything, because of positions and usage of skills. Mark and stress teams will destroy you easily, no matter on opponent’s rank.
I really tried to play so many strategies, as possible, but this team is too strict to play anything else than „damage strategies“. Don’t you even try „full stress“ strategy or „mix stress+DoT“, not worthy. I tried only „the finishers“, „virtue team“, „mix damage + stress“ and „support Crusader“, and even these strategies are bad.
My advice: Use Flagellant as the last character - he NEEDS to be supporteer (healer), don’t you even put him to the frontline.
This was a challenge. Firstly, all characters are in wrong positions and even that you have 3 frontliners, that they want to be in 1st-2nd position. Now you must choose, which characters stays in frontline and which in backline. What’s more, Leper in 2nd position - one push or pull from backline and he’s useless. You may now say „Heh, again only against novices?“, yup, but hear me out. I really tried to play against darkest players, but they simply played based teams - mark or dodge teams. Because you don’t have any team buffs (unless Leper’s „Revenge“ and Crusader’s „Bulwark of Light“), you cannot hit that often or highly dodge characters. I struggled even against one novice player with stress team - no chance.
This is the Red Hook’s meme team in the purest way. I’m glad, that I made it and moved forward. For a long time, this was a really challenge to prove all expierences and skills, that I obtained in Butcher’s Circus.

My advice: Start with Abomination for opening the riposte, next use Crusader for stunning someone or dealing some damage. Then Jester for dealing damage and lastly Arbalest for dealing damage or healing someone.
First things first, I tried to find the original setup, but I was unlucky, I had to improvise. But then… well, this is a great Jester team! The powerful duo Crusader+Abomination can stunlock frontline and midline, next Arbalest’s clearing skill is here very useful and lastly if you somehow manage to deal great amount of damage, Jester can use early “Finale”. I was suprised how the matches went, even against these players only. 0 loses is 0 loses, that also counts. This time I break my rules and I give them a little bit higher rate, not because of perfect score, but because of many strategies and usefullness. I like this team!

My advice: Good choice, if your Leper have a skill „Purge“, if yes, start with it. Next Highwayman for opening the riposte, then buff the team with Jester and lastly Hellion for dealing some damage.
Very unusual team, to be honest. The team’s great advantage is in damage output, it’s really big, with combination of 3 deathblowers is very powerful. On the other side you have only 2 self-healers, one with low-range heal, one with high-range heal. If your Leper gets to the backline, you will get into big problems. I lost only 2x against darkest players with a based teams. You don’t much chances against mark teams, because of limited moving skills and no clearing skills. Only disruption could save you. Playing this was kinda fun, but also mid, because of disadvantages.

I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „mix damage + DoT“, „mark team“ and „full stress“. Probably the best option for playing is „mark team“.
My advice: Start with Jester for (de)buffing the team, next use Flagellant for applying some DoT, then Houndmaster for guarding someone OR marking a target. Lastly Arbalest for dealing massive damage.
What a team! Long time ago the team owner revealed me, what’s the point of the team and its name. The team’s gimmick is in Houndmaster. For playing this, your Houndmaster MUST have skill “Hound’s Harry”, but you must NOT use it. Why? It’s a camouflage, an attempt to trick the opponent, that you will use AoE attacks. It works, BUT if you’re in dire situation and you have only Houndmaster alive in 1st position, it’s game over. I kinda like this idea, very unusual and very profitable.
Sadly in the set of matches I lost 2x - once against darkest player with based stress team (close call) and once against veteran player with mark team. Why I lost the game? Because of Jester - his finale dealt equal damage as one of opponent’s character. And after that I couldn’t made final blow to 2 characters. RNGsus screwed me again.
Although this score and some problems, you can make pressure to the opponent. Very fun to play, I like this team!

Quite a nice team! You have many choices for making a pressure, via mark synergy or just spamming stress+DoT. Unfortunately the team is highly disruptible and it can make the match much challenging. I lost 2x, both times against darkest players, one with based stress team, one with based DoT team. I have no idea, why the opponent in 3rd match just surrendered, when he was still on winning side? Sadly I forgot made a notes and before starting the set of matches, the video was gone. I tried to contact team owner, through Youtube, Steam or Discord via his friends, but it was like he never existed. So… with a heavy heart I had to improvise. I'm still sorry I didn't make a note of it in time.
Well, now about the team. Another team that looks like “Immortal team”, but with Shieldbreaker. It’s a quite nice combination, 2 guardbreakers and disruptors at the same time. The playing was fun, even with one defeat, that was against darkest player with stress team. You can make great pressure for opponent, lots of DoTs and what’s more, the riposting is the best playthrough. Even the stress tactic is possible. Just be careful with Flagellant, when you need heal someone. Honestly, I like this team.

My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte, next use Bounty hunter for disruption, then Grave robber for dealing some damage and lastly Occultist for healing / stressing.
Very bad team. Long time ago I played a similiar team to this [The Guilty], but here instead you have an Occultist, which is good and also bad. Healing is not worth here, because Occultist should be used as stresser/disruptor, healing will waste your turn (because if it’s here injured character and suddenly healed, opponent wouldn’t retaliate and he will hit him/her again). I lost many times, 2x against darkest players with based teams (but close calls), 1x against a veteran player with stress team and 1x against novice player with pure damage team. Nice, that all characters are deathblowers, but that’s not, what you need. The pressure only from pure damage isn’t enough, you need focus to stress and DoT. Otherwise you will lose the match. But you can beat harder opponents.

What an awesome team! Many possible strategies for playing, healing isn’t problem, making pressure is great and what’s more, the riposters. If you buff them, they’ll never miss. You can easily beat harder opponents, just be careful, which team you will oppose. I wished for at least 1 mark team (not training Bot at the start of the set), but it’s what it is. About score: One match against novice player. He never react, after 3rd turn he surrendered. So, victory and no victory. One day I will show you this match.
About team: Actually it’s a good team. The stress strategies are much better than the others, but be careful, which character you use as first. Sometimes RNGsus can screw you, like me in 2 lost matches against darkest players with based teams (close calls) and one regular defeat against veteran player with stress team, but with bad connection. The problem with this comp is fragility and disruption. Because you don’t have any clearing abbilities, the stress will consume you. But still, not a bad team.

I had only a little hope with this team, because of Houndmaster in 1st position. But that’s probably the strongest position, where he could be (with these characters). You can make a great pressure to the opponent, healing isn’t a problem and what’s more, disruption can be easily managed (even Abomination in 4th position). 5) 4 disruptors
6) 3 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) DoT is a menace
3) Disruption is a menace
Leper and friends is an odd damage team, that combines also stress and little bit of DoT. All characters can make disruption on opponent’s team, next you have 3 deathblowers (if we count Arbalest’s „Sniper shot“ and Musketeer’s „Aimed shot“ on marked character), 3 (self)healers and a mark synergy. Unfortunately this team is vulnerable against stress and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „double finisher“, „original setup“ and „mix damage + stress“. Probably the „mix damage + stress“ is the best option for playing.
My advice: Depends on, who you will face. If you’ll face a mark team, start with Bounty hunter OR Arbalest for disruption. If you’ll face stress/DoT team, start with Leper for buffing himself, then proceed with Arbalest for disruption. Last character should be Musketeer for dealing massive damage or healing other companions.
Well… this team. Suprise for me, I lost only once, while trying “original setup” against darkest player with DoT-dodge team [Supa stress V2], even with buffs I couldn’t hit anything. In showed matches you can see, how the team should be played, but it’s not mandatory. I really wished and tried to show true potential, unfortunately the opponents rather surrendered instead of playing till the end. This is the reason, why I cannot give them a high rate, even with nice score.
While playing I saw a few disadvantages, for example pushing Musketeer to the frontline or Arbalest is an easy target for stunning/marking. But even with lost characters you can still win the match. Playing was kinda… fun.

The Messy Four is a damage team with great strength of stress and DoT. You have 2 (self)healers, 2 stunners, 2 deathblowers and a mark synergy. Sadly this team is vulnerable against stress and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, such as „mark team“, „support Crusader“, „mix damage + DoT“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are actually good.
My advice: Start with Grave robber for applying DoT, next use Crusader for stunning someone, then Houndmaster for dealing some damage and lastly Jester also for dealing some damage. If you get lucky, you could „Finale“ the damaged character.
What a mess… The team looks very nice, you can see few advantages, such as „early attack - early Finale“, or „double backline DoTers“. And the first 2 matches were good played… until 3rd match. I faced 3x against a different darkest players with different stress/DoT based teams and lost. Why? Because of RNGsus. Instead of helping me, he drives me crazy. Always misses with Grave robber’s attacks, low range healing with Crusader, CRUCIAL min roll Finale. In all 3 matches I was on winning side, just one bad RNG and it was over. After switching the different trinkets, but same strategy, I continued in victories. The team is good, but also bad, depends on the opponent’s team. I have a mixed feelings and cracked sanity… so, mid rate.

Now… this team. On paper it looks nice and it should be - 2 stunners, 2 deathblowers, a very good combination. My first 2 matches were… ehm, different. I played against totally novice player with DoT team and darkest player with stress team - in both cases I lost the match. Horrible. Then I almost lost a match against BoT and another novice player. In that moment it was looking very bad for the team, but after 2nd match I finally catch a breath and I started tapping into the potential of the team. Sure, with bad trinket setup, you're gonna have a bad time. BUT you can beat every opponent, just use the right skills in right time and don’t stall.
Hard and challenging matches. Even with starting problems, I like the team!

CONS:

3) Low healing potential
Flazin-Yaar is a nice damage team with great strength of stress and DoT. You have 2 disruptors, 2 deathblowers, 2 riposters, but only 1 healer. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „porcupine“, „original setup“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Man at arms (damager / stresser) and Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are actually good. And also Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), the bandit version is better choice.
My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte, next use Man at arms for buffing the team OR guarding someone. Then Flagellant for applying DoT and lastly Grave robber also for stressing someone.
About score: One match against novice player with typical novice team. After 2nd turn the opponent surrendered. The match wasn’t even 1 minute long.
About team: What a team! Even with one healer, you can make a pressure and what’s important, both main strategies (porcupine / stress) are working! Unfortunately for me I lost 2x against darkest players - both with lame teams [Dumb comp & Shep’s stress #1]. And what pissed me off, was the second defeat - I was already on winning side, but RNGsus again showed me his back and let me lost the match (because nobody couldn’t finished 2 death’s door characters).
At least I won some matches, the first one was great and quick. The stress is real problem here, but if you’re quick enough, you’ve should manage that. Honestly, even with this players and the score, I enjoyed playing this team!

My advice: Start with Man at arms for opening the riposte, next use Houndmaster for guarding someone, then Hellion for applying DoT and lastly Vestal for stunning someone.
It's a similiar to previous showcase, but with Hellion instead of Abomination and… it’s much worse. How much? You can’t disrupt the opponent’s team, the 3rd stunner is missing and making the pressure is very slow. And top of that, Hellion is not accurate as Abomination. So you have already many disadvantages, you almost have no chance to beat harder opponents. Yes, I played against novices only (because they simply showed in queue), and some of them made me hard time. What’s (ironically) funny, I played 2x against novice players and in both cases on my winning side there was a tactical desync. Now that funny part - instead of preserving rank progress, I dropped in lower tier. Why? I don’t know.
The team lacks of advantages, not accurate frontline and stress tactics aren’t good. Probably the best option is „the guardians“ strategy. In this situation, I cannot give them high rate, even the mid. This was just bad.

My advice: Start with Man at Arms for buffing the team, next use Abomination for disruption OR Vestal for stunning someone. Lastly Houndmaster for applying DoT OR guarding someone.
Firstly, I was very skeptical about this team. While watching old tournament videos I saw, how the team wasn't good, and still most players were playing it. Now I understand, why. 3 stunners and porcupine, that’s a power, that can be difficult for someone. Sadly I faced 2 players, one darkest player with stress team and one veteran player with mark team, who defeated me. If you play the usual tactics (porcupine / original setup), you’ve shouldn’t have any problems. Unless you’ll start experimenting like me and you can be screwed. I almost lost against novice player. Horrible. So… I honestly like the team, it suprised me at the start of the set, but for the victory you must rely on usual strategies. So… mid rate.

CONS:
1) DoT is a menace
2) Stress is a menace
3) Marks are a menace
4) Stuns are a menace
Hellino is a stress team with great strength of DoT and little bit of pure damage. All characters can (self)heal, next you have 2 guardians and many ways for applying DoT and stress. Unfortunately this team is vulnerable against every possible team, no matter on player’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „double finisher“, „full DoT“, „the finishers“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), don’t waste time on stress variantion, it’s obviously useless here.
My advice: Start with Antiquarian for regeneration spam, next use Flagellant for applying DoT, then Houndmaster for guarding someone OR applying DoT too. Lastly Hellion for dealing some damage.
Before I started this set, I already knew, it would be hard to play them. Hellion in 4th position is really bad idea. You cannot use her as stresser, because she will never get to the frontline. I tried to save all characters in the matches, sadly RNGsus just showed me his back and I failed. I lost even one match against darkest player with stress team. The team have a great advantage of DoT and healing, but still it’s a bad team. I don’t recommend it.

5) Great healing potential
6) 2 disruptors
7) 2 deathblowers
CONS:

3) DoT is a menace
Damage control is a nice damage team with great strength of stress and DoT. All characters are healers, next you have 2 disruptors, 2 deathblowers (if we count Occultist’s „Sacrifical stab“ on afflicted character and Arbalest’s „Sniper shot“ on marked character) and very powerful mark synergy. Unfortunately this team is vulnerable against stress and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „support Crusader“, „mix damage + DoT“, „original setup“ and „full stress“. The „support Crusader“ isn’t a good strategy, better if you omit this.
My advice: Start with Occultist for disruption, next use Crusader for stunning someone, then Flagellant for applying DoT and lastly Arbalest for dealing massive damage.
Very good team! Sure, I had some loses against darkest players with a based teams, but it wasn’t that bad. Powerful mark synergy, 4 healers and lot of DoTs. You can make a pressure very easily, but be careful, which characters you use first. One bad move and you can lose the match. I really like this team!

I tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), the damage variantion is better choice, Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), bandit version is much more optimal and Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are good.
My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte, next use Hellion for dealing some damage, then Grave robber for moving to the backline and lastly spam regeneration with Antiquarian.
About score: One match against veteran player with stress team. Our fight was about 8 minutes long and I was on winning side (my team was in good condition, his team have only Antiquarian and Abomination). After my turn, there was a desync, nobody couldn’t respond.
About team: First things first, I really tried to find the original setup, but I was unsuccessful. So I had to improvise. A Grave robber in frontline is very unusual, it can confuse opponent (if he have a mark team). You can make a pressure to the opponent, but the team is very fragile. It’s needed to spam regeneration with your Antiquarian, otherwise you will lose the match. I lost 3 matches, 2 against darkest players - one with a really strange mark team and one with stress team. The last defeat was against appentice player with stress team. Honestly the playing was fun and I’m glad for facing harder opponents, even with defeats. Not a bad team, but neither good. My advice: Start with Crusader for stunning someone, next use Flagellant for applying DoT. Then Man at arms for buffing the team OR guarding someone. Lastly Houndmaster for guarding someone or applying DoT.
What a good team! The duo „Crusader-Flagellant“ is always great, and if they are supported by one tanky and one dodgy guardians, you can beat everyone very easily. Sadly… I cannot give them the highest rate, because I played only against these players (not challenging) and I lost once against darkest player with a lame based team [Ancient chinese special]. You can make a pressure, healing is good and buffs from Man at arms are always useful. I like the team, but because of players and the score… mid rate.
