đ RECIPE: The Ultimate Summer Hydration Cooler
Watermelon is genius on its own but hereâs how I supercharge it to boost hydration and help prevent summer bloating:
đ 2 cups watermelon (red flesh + white rind)đ ½ lime, juicedđ§ â tsp Celtic or Himalayan saltđśď¸ Optional: Âźâ½ tsp fresh or powdered ginger
Just mix and enjoy! If your digestion is on the weaker side, serve at room temp.
Nature gave us exactly what we need to cool down. Better than ice because it actually helps your body down regulate heat. Ice might feel cooling at first, but it can spike internal temps as your body reacts to the cold shock. Plus in TCM, we know it can harm digestion and disrupt menstruation.
Better than electrolyte packs, too. The pink flesh generates body fluids, and the white rind helps drain excess humidity (aka âdampnessâ). Thatâs what makes it so helpful for puffiness and swelling during heat waves.
And itâs like $2 per serving đ
