The Reason Why The Baker Is NOT In Cinderella 3...
The Baker’s disappearance in Cinderella III is one of the most glaring continuity gaps in the entire Cinderella franchise. In Cinderella II, the Baker is central to Anastasia’s transformation. He humanizes her, challenges her insecurity, and genuinely likes her at face value — something she had never experienced. He symbolizes what a healthy, mutual relationship looks like, far outside Lady Tremaine’s worldview of status, inheritance, and strategic marriages. And then… in Cinderella III, which takes place roughly a full year after Cinderella’s wedding — long after the events of Cinderella II, which begins during Cinderella and Charming’s honeymoon — the Baker should, by all logical timeline standards, still be present in Anastasia’s life. Yet instead of continuing the relationship that was clearly established in the previous film’s continuity, he’s gone without explanation.. It’s as if the timeline moved forward, but the Baker was quietly removed from it. So this really begs the bigger question: why is the Baker not in Cinderella III at all, despite the movies following a chronological timeline? And not only that — why does Anastasia seem to reset emotionally at the beginning of Cinderella III, almost as if the growth she experienced in Cinderella II never happened?
