Hi everyone, this is X. This is a song from a musical that we've been working on with Frances Tease, 'The Orishas Are Coming to America ' I wrote all the music and lyrics and Susi worked on the book for the musical play.
It has quite a few musical numbers and the plan is to get them mixed and ready to put the songs up sometime ion 2026. The goal is April 13th 2026, which happens to br Frances Tease's birthday.
I don't know if and when we'll be able to actually do the musical as the team that we had been working with unfortunately dropped out. The plan is to potentially reach to community colleges and/or community organizations once all the work is completed.
As I told you last time in the 'Brave Young Men'; song, my band has ended and I am here also figuring out what to do about that. Susi still helps me with the music but she's had to cut back because of health reasons
I still having figured out what I'm going to do going forward. I'm thinking of several options. 1- Remix my songs to get them to be as good as I can make them, 2- Make new music videos with me playing all the characters (kinda hard, you know), 3- Maybe just sing acoustic, just me and my guitar? If you have an opinion on any of that made leave it in the comments? I guess 4- could be 'Audition people and Make A New Band", I don't know, still thinking about it.
