STORY
We uncovered the long-forgotten mansion of a Spanish pharmacist family, and what we found inside will leave you speechless.
Hidden deep in a remote mountain village in northern Spain, this imposing limestone mansion once belonged to the López family. From the late 1800s until the mid-1900s, they operated the town’s only pharmacy right from the basement of their home. Decades later, the pharmacy is gone, yet countless clues to their life remain, old prescriptions, family photographs, and handwritten documents that reveal the rise and fall of this once-prominent household.
The property is immense, four levels high, with more than a dozen bedrooms, sweeping staircases, and grand reception rooms. In 1975, the doors were locked, and the house was left exactly as it was. Since then, no one has lived here. Even today, the heirs still hold the deed, and some continue the family’s work in the pharmaceutical trade, yet the mansion itself has been left untouched, sealed away like a vault of memories.
Step inside with us as we explore this extraordinary time capsule, walking through rooms that have remained frozen for half a century, piecing together the forgotten story of the López family and the legacy they left behind.
