The Stinger is a heavy fighter introduced in Star Citizen Alpha 4.3.2. It is specifically designed to go after other heavy assets such as heavy fighters and multi-crew ships. This makes it a formidable opponent to un-escorted multi-crew ships.
Many players were disappointed with the poor performance of the Stinger on launch as it is a poor performing fighter. This is due to the Stinger NOT being designed to dogfight, but instead take the fight to other heavy hitters.
